My Life Thus Far
Keeping My Fingers Crossed
Ugh! I'm so irritated! I have NO voice. I don't feel sick. I don't look sick, but the second I open my mouth it sounds like a frog is trying to escape my throat. I take for granted the ability to speak on a daily basis. Until now. I understand how Keenan feels, to an extent. I can still write notes, so I can't totally relate, but I've got an idea. It sucks.
Today was a pretty ordinary day, aside from my lack of voice. Bremerton Y was super quiet, with it being a holiday weekend. I got a good workout in (such a fantastic perk of working there). After my shift was over, I spent a good long time in the steam room, hoping it would help whatever is causing me to lose my voice and while it felt awesome, it hasn't seemed to help :(
Tomorrow should be a fun day. Bright and early we're getting up and driving to Portland to visit Voodoo Doughnut and the Oregon Zoo. Since Annie is off in Spokane with Sue, enjoying herself we thought we should do something fun with the little ones. Annie has already been to the Oregon Zoo, so she won't be missing out on anything. Of course, later in the summer we'll do other family trips as a whole family. On that note, I think it's time I retire. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my voice is back in the morning. I can be optimistic, right?
