My Life Thus Far
Not For Awhile
What a day... Quite frankly, I'm shocked that I'm even still awake right now, other than the fact that I might be overly-exhausted and unable to fall asleep because of that. That's got to be it...
Even though the big fancy YMCA opened this morning, I still went to my beloved Bremerton Y for my workout. I don't think I'll be switching, at least not anytime soon. As nice as it is, I don't have the same sentimental attachment as I do to Bremerton. That's where I'm a regular, that's where I lost my weight and I just love it there. New and shiny isn't all it's cracked up to be.
My shift went VERY well. I'd gotten myself all psyched out for something way more scary than it ended up being. Yes, it was very busy, but nothing too terrible. I basically walked around chatting with members, I answered questions, I did a few youth orientations. I even ended up staying an hour longer helping out in the 12 week department, scheduling appointments and explaining the program to members. I don't think it will ever be boring working at Haselwood (at least not for awhile).
My local Target finished renovations today! Now I can buy fresh produce at my favorite store!! Even though I didn't really need anything, I stopped in after work just to get a look at the new set up. I even bought a bowl of watermelon chunks just because I could :) That's not all I bought. I also got a pair of skinny jeans, a couple tops, a new gym bag, a weighted jump rope and two sport bras. Did I mention Target is my favorite store? I've limited myself to two Target trips a week, otherwise I spend far too much money on crap I don't need. All of the clothes were from the 75% off rack and my old gym bag had more holes than I could count. So, I don't feel bad about any of those purchases. They're justified!
When I got home, Snookums had moved our living room furniture around. Slightly random. I wasn't expecting to come home to my living room looking totally different, but after I switched a few things around (end tables, lamps and plants) it started to grow on me a little. It doesn't look bad. Our living room has looked the same for the past 3 1/2 years, it was time for a change. Now if we could just get some updated family portraits. The last time we got portraits, Kiki was 5 months old! Shameful, I know.
I managed to remember to bake gluten-free cupcakes for Keenan's therapy playgroup party tomorrow. I was worried with all the excitement I might forget, but I didn't. I'm glad, because it looks like tomorrow is going to be a hard morning for me. It's after midnight and I'm still not asleep. I should do something about that...
