Or Not At All

Crap... it's late and I'm tired. It would have been awesome to be asleep by now (since I need to get up and get a move on tomorrow morning), but today is just now coming to a close. It was a full day. I'm not complaining, though. I prefer being busy over sitting around with nothing to keep me out of trouble :)

I got a call from Keenan's speech pathologist this morning. An opening became available 11am-11:30am Tuesday mornings, so instead of having to take Keenan in three days a week he now only has to go in twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays)! This makes me happy :) Only now I really have to make sure I get out of the house on time Tuesday mornings if I want to get in any type of workout. It's early morning or not at all pretty much and not at all just isn't an option for me. So, I didn't have to drive Keenan across town for therapy today. I got a great workout in. A great workout on Monday may have to suffice if I don't get out of the house on time tomorrow or any given Tuesday.

Fate put me where I needed to be today. It was weird. I was sitting at a red light at a very busy intersection on my way home from the gym. I was daydreaming a hypothetical question that I think about once in awhile (because my car has over 100,000 miles). "What would I do if my car broke down?" As I'm mulling over the possible scenarios in my head, the light turns green and the right lane goes through the intersection, but my lane doesn't move. Two cars in front of me get into the right lane and jet through the intersection as the light turns red. Then I see it. A lady's car had broken down. She got out of the car and just kind of stood in the intersection for a second, then she came up to my window and asked for my help. Long story short, I ended up getting her some gas and letting a police officer I saw on the way to the gas station know what was happening (because she was in a really dangerous spot and could have gotten rear-ended). Everything ended up working out okay. The police officer even thanked me for doing the right thing. Wouldn't anyone have done the same?

I did my couponing today. Between Target and the Commissary I saved over $50. Not exactly extreme couponing, but over the course of a month it adds up to at least $150. I can do a lot with that extra money. Mainly stash it away in savings :)

Bedtime...
