Everyone's Kind Words

Fantastic. Awesome. Sensational. And all the other adjectives for "good" :) I'm continuously amazed at myself. Not in an arrogant way. In the most positive way, of course. I find it hard to even look back at most of my previous entries, because they are so utterly painful. I was in such a bad place and now life is so good. So VERY good. Life is truly a blessing, even on the not-so-great days.

They didn't need my on-call tonight, so I had the evening off. Snookums was napping, but just as I was about to leave he woke up so I could say goodbye. Getting my workouts in are a high priority. They're a huge part of why I'm feeling so positive and uplifted these days. People are always asking me how they can improve their depression or other mental illness and that would be my #1 suggestion. Get moving! It's made the world of difference for me.

I grossly underestimated how busy the gym would be at 5pm on a Monday. I had a hard time finding space to do my strength routine, every cardio machine was taken, except for the squeaky ones. I made the most of it. I took the squeaky elliptical until something else became available. The upside to the squeaky elliptical is that it's parallel to a full-length mirror, so I could watch my amazing body move as I sweated away ;) Eventually I was able to get on my favorite treadmill and then stationary bike, so it was all good. The upside to going to the gym at such a busy time was that I was able to have conversations with people I don't normally see. Thank you Y Story for opening the lines of communication between myself and others I wouldn't normally talk with :)

When I got home I made a super-delicious dinner. Chicken breast cutlets (thinner than regular chicken breast) sauteed in olive oil, brown rice and zucchini, sweet peppers and scallions sauteed in the chicken's yummy little bits left in the pan. It was so satisfying after a good workout. Although, I'm going to need a snack before bed. Probably some nuts, I haven't had any today and I try to get at least 1oz everyday.

Thank you to the lovely person that left me a message telling me I'm beautiful. Sometimes I'm not sure if people always leave real email addresses (which is understandable). I just want you to know I appreciate your kind words... everyone's kind words.
