Wonderfulness On Top of Fantasticness

I've got a wonderful sense of well-being and contentment today :) It's been a full day, but a great one. I love days like this...

The kids had their Holly Ridge Easter Egg Hunt today. This has been a tradition for them since Kiki started going to Holly Ridge for speech therapy. This is their last year going, though since Keenan will be 3 in June and will be leaving Holly Ridge. It was a lot of fun, even for Snookums and I. We got there a little early, so the kids did arts and crafts until it was time to see the Easter Bunny. Kiki has always been scared of the Easter Bunny, but this year she actually asked to sit in his lap for a picture! Keenan was freaked out beyond belief and refused to go near him. Annie held him so we could get a picture, but it's one of Keenan in a sheer panic. I can't say I'm surprised. My son is scared of everything. After bunny pictures, it was egg hunt time. Keenan REALLY got into that! He had a huge basket full of eggs by the end of it. The Freemasons threw a BBQ for everyone, as well. The kids ate hot dogs, baked beans, chips, cookies, etc. (stuff I don't eat and would prefer them not to eat, but it's okay once in awhile kind of stuff). They were ready for naps by the time we got home.

Snookums and I were just as tired as the kids, so after they went down, so did we. By the time I woke up it was after 5pm! I've been exhausted lately. There was no denying I needed some restorative sleep. Snookums got up before I did and cleaned the house for me :) He even started laundry. I've got an amazing husband.

Since Monday is Kiki's birthday and we usually go out to dinner on their birthdays, we figured tonight was close enough without interfering with their weeknight routines. The kids picked Olive Garden, so that's where we went. It was just a fun, relaxing evening. The kids had a great time, Snookums and I had fun. I can't say enough good things about today. It was just wonderfulness on top of fantasticness :)

I'm ready to go back to sleep now! It is almost 1am, so I'm allowed. Tomorrow will be another full day. We've got the kids' egg hunt to do, I'll be cooking (Easter dinner and cupcakes for Kiki's class party) and the laundry needs to get finished (it's been piling, unfortunately). Goodnight!
