Good Health Is It's Own Reward

I'm totally exhausted today and ironically enough I didn't work out for 3 hours. I didn't work out at all. Remember yesterday I was complaining that I didn't do anything with my friends? Well, today I did! My friend Gen and I just hung out in my living room (because we've got 5 kids between us, with an 11 year age range and what the heck do you do on a rainy day with that many kids of such varying ages?). It was fun. We got a chance to catch up and talk about mom stuff (a topic we both have a lot to say about). Before I knew it, it was time for me to get ready for work. The day flew by.

Work was good. Nothing too fascinating to write about. It was just your average day at Victoria's Secret. We've got a promotion going on right now, spend $60 get a free umbrella, which is one of our more popular promotions, because everyone was up-selling themselves! It made for a busy evening that just flew by.

I did a little shopping tonight. I got myself a couple pairs of new (smaller) jeans, a pair of sandals (because summer will come eventually), some jewelry and I stopped at Target to stock up on my gummy vitamins. I absolutely LOVE gummy vitamins. I take multi's, C, Omega 3's, fiber and immune boosting elderberry. There is no way in the world I'd take all those vitamins if they didn't come in gummy form. My doctor has been suggesting for YEARS that I take vitamins for some of my deficiencies, but I can never get myself to stick to it, because of the giant nasty horse pill she gives me to make up for all the vitamins I'm not getting for whatever reason. I bet if I were to have blood work done now, I wouldn't be deficient. Or at least, not as much. I know I feel so much better. I've never been in better shape in my life (and I don't mean the way I look in my pants). Good health is it's own reward.

I'm much more tired right now than I normally am this time of night. It's because I didn't work out today (chatting with Gen was more important). I think it's interesting how exerting myself so strenuously actually gives me energy in the long run. It would be interesting to research the physiology behind that, but not tonight. I'm too damn tired!
