Gardening

I can't deny it. I totally enjoy planting a garden every year. There
is just something about watching the plants grow and produce that
keeps me tilling up the soil and planting seeds.

This year I have a small greenhouse and it has allowed me to start
the plants even earlier than before. Thankfully I don't live in one
of the states that is having the terrible weather (in fact, watching
the news has helped me recognize that I never plan to leave sunny
Florida). If all goes as planned I should be putting six week old
plants in the ground around the middle of March. My grandfather was
a farmer and he always used to say that it could stlll freeze up
until Easter. Well, Easter isn't until the end of April this year.
Hopefully I can get away without seeing a freeze.

I've also decided to try and sell some vegetable plants this year. I
might as well see if I can make a little money while I'm at it. Who
knows, maybe it will turn into a little side business. Heck, I would
be all right with it if it turned into a big side business, but that
would be counting the vegetables before the plants produce... er, I
mean counting the chickens before they hatch. Neither one of those
really works here do they? Anyway, you get the point.
