My Life Thus Far

Everyone and Everything

I've got some time before I have to get dinner started, so
I'm catching up now. I'm tired, if I don't write now
there's a strong possibility it won't happen later!

If you haven't seen The Lovely Bones (and want to), I
won't ruin the movie for you. I thought it was good,
Snookums not so much. He endured it for me, but it's a
serious chick-flick. Let me just say though, that as a
parent it scared me to death! The whole time I was
wondering in the back of my mind if Annie would be as
trusting as Suzie was. She's such a sweet and social girl,
but I've pounded into her head not to trust strangers and
acquaintances. As much as you can, without making her fear
everyone and everything. Kiki and Keenan are still little
and don't venture away from me alone. Oh goodness, I'm
going to worry myself to death when all three of them are
old enough to venture out of my sight!

After the movie, Snookie and I went to the casino for the
first time in a long time. It was disappointing. They got
all new slot machines and our favorites were gone! So, we
played a little, lost about $50 between us and just came
home. Even when we lost money in the past, at least we had
fun playing the games. This time it just turned us off the
whole casino experience completely. It was about as much
fun as paying a bill, without the satisfaction of paying a
bill. Sad.

Snookums and I didn't fall asleep until around 3am this
morning, which was rough. He had duty and needed to go to
muster at 6am and I had to work at 10am. So he had 2 hours
of sleep and I had 5. He came right home and went back to
sleep, but I had to leave for work :( It wasn't the 5
hours of sleep that bothered me. It was the having to get
out of my warm bed, with my warm, sleeping husband to go
to work. I got over it, though. By the time I walked out
the door, I was in a good mood.

Work went by quickly. I opened today, which I don't
normally do. The first hour there are no customers. It's
just opening registers, dropping off the deposit, stocking
beauty and sitting around until the store opens. Then I
had 3 hours on the sales floor, that just flew by. It's
like I was hardly even there.

Well, I'm off to cook dinner now. Snookie is taking some
of it to his friend who's standing his watch for him
tonight (so nice of the friend to take Snookie's crappy
watch, 11:30pm-7:30am). I told him it was the least he
could do. A single military man living in the barracks
doesn't encounter too many home cooked meals :) Ciao!
