My Life Thus Far

Certifiably Addicted

Love, happiness, peace, success... Everything in life is a
decision. I firmly believe that nothing is accidental,
nothing just happens. You have to want it and be willing
to work towards it, for it, to keep it... Today I woke up
resolved to do just that. I (as do many others) sometimes
sit around and wait for or let things happen - or hope
they will happen to me. I need to get back into the habit
of telling myself I'll have a good day and then make that
decision come to fruition. Long story short, I had a good
day :)

They Y closes for a week of annual maintenance. They sent
out an email months ago and posted fliers saying that next
week everything but the weight room would be closed. I
knew it was coming. But then last week they posted a
notices saying the "track and gym" would be closed
starting today for refinishing. This confused me because
when you say gym I think of the Y as a whole, so I had to
call them this morning to find out whether or not they'd
be open. It ended up being a communication error. Whoever
wrote the flier refers to the basketball courts as "the
gym". That confused me, but turns out it's just the track
and basketball court closed this week. Not the whole Y.
I'm grateful for that. Next week Selena will be here and
can watch the kids so I can go to the weight room (which
is the only area that will be open) and I'll find my
cardio someplace else (tennis, jogging, Gazelle, what-have-
you). I got a little panicky when I thought I wouldn't be
able to get my workout! I'm certifiably addicted to
working out and I'm fully aware of it :)

When I got home from the gym, Snookie was home from work
and waiting for me in shorts and a t-shirt. He actually
volunteered to play tennis with me! This was surprising
because I usually have to badger him into a game, but he
asked ME if I wanted to play! I think we've made a
breakthrough. We played for about an hour before I had to
shower and take Annie to Girl Scouts.

While I was waiting for Annie to finish up, I checked my
Myspace on my phone (I'm still in love with cellular web
browsing!). My friend Misty left me a message asking if I
wanted to come over and see her for a bit. I haven't seen
her in a good 6 months and Annie and her daughter are
really close, so I figured "what the heck, let me stop
by". It was just supposed to be a quick visit, but it
turned into a two hour visit and now Snookie is mad at me.
At least I think he is. He didn't say "hi" when I came in
and he still hasn't gotten up from his baseball game to
come out and see me. I think he wanted sex tonight. It's
not like it's that late. It's only 9:30pm, but he likes to
go to bed early, so I'm sure I've messed up his plans.
He's so sensitive sometimes. I'm sure if I go in there,
all sweet and smelling good and woo him with my feminine
charms he'll soften up :) But before I do that, let me get
something to eat, I'm starved! Ciao...
