My Life Thus Far

If I Have Any Hope

I have 12 minutes until I have to start getting ready for
work, so I figured now is as good a time as any to update
my diary... If I have any hope of keeping up-to-date!

Normally I'd be squeezing in some Snookie-time right now
(before work), but he had an inspection today and had to
get up at 3am. So as soon as he got home from work I sent
him off to bed. He'll at least get a 90 minute nap in
before he has to get up and take care of the kids.

I just got off the phone with Amy (my babysitter). Her
parents lost custody of her and her siblings 18 months ago
and I guess they got custody back last month, so Amy and
her brother and sisters will be moving back to Corvallis
with their still semi-dysfunctional parents :( She called
to let me know she won't be able to sit for us anymore.
So, it looks like I'm back to the drawing board. Snookums
is going out to sea for 10 days around the 14th of
September (for the last time!!!) and I'll need a sitter
then. After that we'll just need a sitter occasionally so
we can go out on dates. A coworker of mine is supposed to
me moving in with us temporarily the end of September and
instead of charging her rent, she'll babysit and house
keep for room and board. I suppose I can wait until she
moves out to find a full-time sitter. I was really happy
with Amy. I don't want to have to go through the whole
interview process again.

I decided today that I need to go back to keeping my food
diary. It's tedious and annoying at times, but there
really is no better way to keep track of what I'm eating.
I haven't gained any weight (in fact I'm still losing,
albeit slowly). I just feel like I've been ingesting a
little too much crap lately and I need to monitor my iron
intake. My ultimate goal is to get down to 140. I still
have 24 pounds to go and I'll never get there if I keep
sabotaging my work outs. Having Snookums home isn't
helping, but he's definitely better than he used to be.

Okay, times up! I have to get ready for work now. Ciao!
