My Life Thus Far

Little Piss-Pants

I had my best workout since Snookums' been home today.
Lately I've been feeling like I'm not putting forth my
best effort. Granted, I'm still going every day (Monday-
Friday) and I'm still making progress. I'm just not doing
my level best. So today I put it back into high gear. I've
been doing a great job in the weight room, but when it
came to cardio I was horribly slacking. My aim is 60
minutes and I used to accomplish that solely on the
ArcTrainer, but I'm getting bored with it. Instead of
getting my 60 I was doing 20 or 30. Well, today I devised
a new cardio routine. 20-20-20. 20 minutes on the
ArcTrainer, then on the Expresso stationary bike (very
cool machine) and two miles around the track. It totals 60
minutes and I wasn't bored :) Problem solved.

Snookums and I got home at the same time this afternoon
(him from work, me from the gym), but for some reason
Snookums was still a little piss-pants today. I've been
working a lot and I think it irritates him. He'd love
nothing more than for me to be a housewife, always home
with a hot meal when he gets off from work, but that isn't
me. It never has been and it won't happen anytime soon. I
like working and I'll always work. He barely talked to me
the hour or so we were here together. My last words to him
before I walked out the door were "have a good night,
asshole". That wasn't nice of me, I know. But he was not
being nice to me and I'd had enough. What if I'd gotten in
a car accident and died? That would have been terrible.
The last thing I said to him was very mean. Not the legacy
I'd like to leave in his mind. I try to always have things
right between us, but sometimes that isn't possible and I
have to accept it.

Work was good. It was a scheduled shift, so I was more
mentally prepared for it. The past couple days our sales
numbers have been amazing. I don't know why people are
shopping so much, but it's great not having to wonder if
we're going to make a segment. The two Alicia's and I
closed, so we got out of there in record time. I felt bad
for what I said to Snookums, so I stopped by Target to get
him a card. He likes getting and giving cards. Sometimes
you have to leave it up to the professionals to apologize
for you :)

Snookums was awake when I got home from work, but still
not really talking to me. He said two sentences. "How was
work?" and "are you going to be much longer?". I'd just
started writing, so I said "I don't know" and without
another word he went to bed without me :( I wish he'd tell
me what's wrong... I didn't even get a chance to give him
the card I got for him. I put it under his keys so he'll
find it in the morning... I think I'll go to bed now...
Sad. Ciao.
