My Life Thus Far

It's Fun To Stay At The Y-M-C-A!

I'm writing very early today, because I know when I get
home from work tonight I'm going to be too tired to write.
I can say this with confidence, because already I'm ready
for bed and it's only 3pm.

I slept well last night. I went to bed around 11pm, read
my book for a couple hours and fell asleep somewhere
between 12:30am and 1am. When I woke up this morning I
felt like I'd been hit my a mack truck, but that's kind of
how I always feel. I don't think my days are so strenuous
to warrant feeling that sore in the morning, but maybe
they are. Starting Friday morning, though. I'm going to
have a reason for waking up sore :)

My primary goal for the day was to go check out the Y and
look into signing up. I've been on a quest for a more
family-friendly gym and an old high school friend of mine
recommended the YMCA. It's kind of out of the way (on the
other side of Bremerton, in Manette. A good 10 mile drive
through the heart of the city), but it's not terribly far
and once I reached the YMCA campus, it was totally worth
it. The place is nice :) Malachi (holy crap, he was hot! I
couldn't help but think it...) gave me a tour of the
facilities, showed me all the different rooms and
activities. All of which are included in membership. 10
minutes into the tour I was ready to hand over the Visa
card.

The childcare is nice, too. I signed up for unlimited
care, so I can come as often as I want, for as long as I
want. While I was on the tour Kiki and Keenan stayed there
and Kiki really enjoyed herself. Baby boy just hung out in
a swing. He was totally at home. I'm slightly worried
about him getting sick, but I can't keep them ensconced at
home until they're 5. It's good for them to get out and
meet other children. There's a preschool program also. I
think I'll sign Kiki up for it once we've been going for a
little bit and she's comfortable.

The child watch is located in a different building from
the gym facility, but they've got a nanny-cam type set-up
at the front desk, so you can see what you're children are
doing. It's great :) while I was filling out paperwork, I
could see Kiki playing and Keenan swinging. If I want to
go during the evening, Annie can go to the rec area and
play on the computer, shoot pool, watch movies and there's
a little snack bar. I couldn't be happier! It's not that
I'm not happy being home with the kids, but I need to work
out. I need to have some time to myself. That's the only
way I'll be truly happy.

I probably won't write after I get off work. If I do, it
will only be because something interesting happened. I
should go shower now... Ciao.
