My Life Thus Far
Two Birds
****
At this point, nothing more is going to happen today, so
I'm writing early. I'm using the rest of my day to get my
house back into shape (the girls have decimated the
downstairs and I've got the Mt. Vesuvius of laundry
waiting for me). Once that has been conquered, I'm taking
a shower and crawling into bed. I've got a massive
headache and nothing but quiet solitude will fix it.
First thing this morning, the kids and I got dressed and
went to buy Annie's friend a birthday present. I had a
stroke of genius (well, not really) and decided to go to
Toys R Us to get it. That way I could kill two birds with
one stone and get the birthday present and Lacey's baby
shower gift, too. They had a bunch of sales going on, so I
was also able to pick the girls up the cutest matching
outfits :) They're 6 years apart, but only 1 clothing size
apart. Kiki is a 5/6 and Annie is a 7/8. It's crazy how
big Kiki is and odd how little Annie is. Kiki's not fat,
just big like her dad and I don't know where Annie gets
her petiteness from. Maybe her father. He's not the
biggest man (about 5'10", never more than 160 pounds).
They're little denim mini skirts with fleece trim, pink
leggings and pink and white flower-patterned tunics. Too
cute. Carter's baby stuff was on sale, too. So, Keenan got
a couple outfits, too. There's always so many more
adorable options for girls than boys, so I have to snatch
up cute boy clothes when I see them.
The birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's was a little
insane. I hate going there. Especially at noon on a
Saturday. Who thought that was a good idea? The girls had
a great time and Keenan was a perfect angel (even during
the very loud birthday show). It was just too much noise
and activity for me. I'm glad that's behind me.
Now I'm off to put my house back together. I keep the
upstairs in good shape, but it's Annie's job to clean the
playroom and her room. By the looks of it, she hasn't been
keeping up her end of the bargain. No spending money for
her... Ciao.
