An Awkward Social Situation

****

It always surprises me how energetic and vibrant Helena
is. That woman runs laps around my ass. It honestly makes
me wonder why I'm so freaking tired all the time when
she's always wound up. You'd never in a million years
guess that she's 60 years old and it has nothing to do
with the face lift she had 10 years ago :) I only wish I
had half her energy.

Helena took us to visit her friend Judy today. She lives
in Federal Way and has a little grandson that's 7 years
old. He was celebrating his birthday and there was a
little party for him. It wasn't a bad time, but I was
certainly glad when it was time to leave. I wasn't in the
mood for an awkward social situation.

I'm starting to think the only progress I'm going to make
towards my fitness goal while Helena is here is damage
control. Today I ate pizza, ice cream cake and Helena's
traditional chocolate fudge cake. I ate 2,190 calories!
How the hell can I lose weight eating that much! I wish
she didn't associate good times and happy memories with
food. I can't spend the next two hours on the Gazelle,
because it squeaks and I don't want to wake her up or
disturb her (and I don't want her to know I'm trying to
work off all the crap she's feeding me). My BMR is around
1800 so, it's not the end of the world. I'm not going gain
anything by any means. I'm just SO motivated right now. I
don't want to get discouraged by outside forces. She's
leaving on Tuesday. As much as I like Helena, I really
want to focus on this short term goal. Everybody needs to
have a goal. Ciao.
