Obstacles and Issues

I'm having such a great day, I thought I'd write about
it :) So often my entries are about my little everyday
obstacles and issues. Rarely to I sit down to write about
how good I'm feeling.

I slept great last night. I'm loving how long Keenan
sleeps now (8-10 hours every night), so that started me
out on a happy note. On an even happier note, I didn't
wake up to a disaster area in the living room. Kiki has
been bringing up a hundred books and toys with her every
morning, but she didn't do that today. When I came out of
the bedroom, she was sitting on the couch flipping through
Life and Style magazine. Which, was really cute :)

After breakfast, I put together my Leg Magic Ultra. It's
such a simple little machine, which had me worried. I
wasn't sure it would deliver all the promises on the box,
but when I stepped on it to give it a try. Holy poop! It
ain't easy! Which is fabulous, because if it had been
easy, then I wouldn't think it would be able to deliver
the type of workout I'm looking for. I'm still anxiously
awaiting the arrival of my Gazelle, but until it gets here
I at least have a few pieces of equipment to work with.

The house is still in great order. The girls' rooms are
scary, but I'll take a day with a few garbage backs and
clear them out. Annie is a pack-rat and Kiki is messy, so
whatever I don't deem worthy of keeping, is either being
donated or tossed. I hate clutter. Today, I tackled
laundry. Which I've made a couple feeble attempts at
doing. I absolutely hate laundry more than anything, but
it has to be done. The girls need clean underwear. The
thought crossed my mind to just pick them up a couple
packs, but that's just laziness when they've got two dozen
pairs between them.

I also tackled the cat room. Cats may keep themselves
clean, but they're room was pretty filthy. Cat litter
kicked all over the place, food on the floor, toys
everywhere you looked. Messy little animals. So, I picked
up everything, swept and disinfected the floors and
changed out the litter boxes. It's nice and tidy now :)

On top of being so very pleased with myself, I'm pleased
with the weather. When I got up this morning it was
glorious! After the past week, filled with rain and
windstorms it was great seeing the sun in full force. I
went out on the back patio with a cup of tea and took in
all the beauty. The water was shimmering like glass and
you could see the beautiful blue reflection of the sky in
it. Just amazing. I did get a little fright while I was
out there. I think a wasp nest is taking form in my
gutter, because there were a good number of wasps flying
around the patio. As I was standing there, one flew right
up to my face. I closed my eyes and stood very still and
while I'm not afraid of much, there's still something very
unsettling about a venomous creature in your face. It
didn't help any when he landed on my nose! I just stood
very still and waited for him to fly away and he did. I
was left unscathed. Thank goodness, because if I'm going
to get stung by a wasp, I'd rather it not be on my face!

I'd better get back to my laundry. I work tonight, so I'd
better wash myself up something black! Ciao.
