My Life Thus Far

It's Just Life

I feel like there isn't enough time in my life some days
to write like I want to. Like I used to. It seems like my
entries are always a little rushed, I sometimes miss days.
Or I leave out stuff. Oh well. The dynamic of my life has
changed since I started writing. There's no need for
guilt. It's just life. I need to remind myself that it's
okay to omit tasks from my day (like writing) if I need
to, and that I may not get to write about everything. I'm
a multi-faceted person with a busy life. I'm actually
pretty grateful for that.

So, the other night (while on our date) Snookums and I
went to see The Family That Preys. The new Tyler Perry
movie. It was so good! I'm still thinking about it.
Usually Tyler Perry movies are strictly comedy with a few
poignant moments, but this movie was like a perfect
package. Drama, suspense and some funny moments. I highly
recommend it. Since it was about a dysfunctional black
family, I couldn't help but see some similarities to my
upbringing.

The first half of Snookums and my date was very nice. We
took the time to get dressed up nice (I even wore heels)
and we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. It's not a
super-fancy place, but it's nice enough that we didn't
look like morons dressed up going into McDonald's or
anything. I was a bad girl, too :) I had a glass of
Prosecco with dinner. I figured it was okay. Keenan was
having his bedtime feeding from a bottle and I wouldn't be
feeding him again until morning, so it was okay.

Yesterday was a quiet day around the house. Nothing to
share there. The reason I didn't write last night (it's
Monday morning) was because I had a store meeting. I was
expecting a lot more out of that meeting. I wanted to meet
the new girls I haven't worked with and get caught up to
speed on anything I missed out on while on maternity
leave. I didn't get that. Tamara brought her baby to the
meeting (which I didn't appreciate, because I left mine at
home and so did Tiffany. We were there for work, not to
show off the babies). So, all of the 19 year old girls
we've got working there right now couldn't pay attention
to anything but the baby. It was a total waste of two
hours. I'm just glad I got paid for it.

Today I need to run errands. It seems like there's always
something that needs to get done. I've got grocery
shopping to do (Snookums wants homemade macaroni and
cheese for dinner tonight) and bills to pay. I'd better
get a move on it's getting late. Ciao.
