My Life Thus Far

A Risk I'm Willing To Take

I've decided that today will be a good day. If it kills
me. It might, but that's a risk I'm willing to take :)

I'm not mad at Snookums anymore. Over our bed we have a
huge stenciling of the saying "Always Kiss Me Goodnight."
Jason has taken this to heart and no matter how mad at him
I may be, he always does something to MAKE me kiss him.
It's hard to kiss someone in anger. So, we talked about
his behavior yesterday and while I don't think it will
stop him from doing stupid, insensitive things in the
future, it did make me feel better this time around. I'll
admit, over-all he's a pretty sensitive man. Which is more
than can be said about a lot of guys.

I'm noticing a difference. I'm starting to reap the
benefits of a better lifestyle. I've gone through the junk
food withdrawal period (three days is average) and have
come out on the other side better for it. Gone is that
yucky, bloaty-feeling. I've got my energy back and I'm
feeling much better. Snookums is trying to kill me with
his fast food addiction. I can't let him do this anymore.
The girls and I rarely eat out when he's gone, but when he
comes home we eat at every fast food establishment in the
county. That's so done. For the sake of our longevity and
that of our children.

Usually after Keenan's 6am feeding I roll back over and
sleep as long as the girls will let me. Not this morning.
Snookums has duty today, so he left while I was feeding
Keenan. After Keenan was back down, I got up and made
myself a cup of coffee. I was up and about long before the
girls. I just didn't feel the need to sleep anymore. Kiki
got up soon after I'd finished my coffee and I started my
shift as short-order cook. Kiki wanted a grilled cheese
sandwich and strawberry yogurt. Annie wanted pancakes and
scrambled eggs. Now I'm ready to finish that laundry I
started yesterday.

Hopefully I'll get to take a walk today. The weather has
decided to take a turn for the nasty. Overcast and cold,
with a few showers so far this morning. It looks like the
sun is trying to come out, so I'll keep my fingers
crossed. This is when a piece of home exercise equipment
would come in really handy.

Sometimes your state of mind is what decides what kind of
day you'll have. I chose to have a good day. Ciao.
