My Life Thus Far

I Don't Intend To Pretend

****

I'm officially giving up on going to sleep at normal
hours, like normal people do. My body has decided that
going to bed between 3-4am is ideal for me. Which I guess
works out well with a new baby coming. If Keenan wants to
be up, more power to him! I just need 4-5 hours a day and
I'll have no problem getting that at some point during the
12 hours that Kiki sleeps each night. It's never a
cakewalk with a new baby, but I've been lucky with my two
so far. Annie was more of a challenge, but I was very
young and resilient. Kiki slept through her first 5 months
of life. She was easy. Keenan (so far) has taken after
Kiki, so I'm thinking I'll have another big lazy baby on
my hands. Just like daddy!

I woke up this morning feeling much better than I did
yesterday. Kiki and I went to the post office to mail off
Annie's hair donation and Snookums Father's Day present
(it can take up to two weeks for them to get packages).
Then we stopped in at Ross, because I needed to buy new
sheets and pillows for Kiki's bed. Helena is sleeping down
there and between Kiki and Zoe, they've done a number on
the white sheet set I got when I bought Kiki the bed. Even
bleaching it hasn't removed all of the juice stains. I've
got everything washed and ready to go on the bed, I'm just
waiting until Friday to put them on. That way Kiki and/or
Zoe don't get them dirty before Helena even gets to see
that they were (at some point) clean.

I had a very calm day. I did some dishes, washed the
aforementioned sheets and blankets, cleaned out the fish
tanks, swept the front walk, watered the newly sprouted
grass in the backyard. I'm getting tired, but I still have
a couple things I want to do tonight. Crochet a little on
Keenan's blanket (I'm almost half way done with it! Most
of which I did last night. I got into a groove) and then I
plan on taking a nice hot bath and reading my book a
little. I should relax while I have a chance.

Tomorrow I'm going to do some light cleaning. The
downstairs bathroom needs a little touching up. Maybe I'll
clean the downstairs hall closet (because Helena will have
to go in there for towels and washcloths). I'll wipe a few
walls and get a couple spots off the carpet in the
playroom. I don't need to impress Helena. She may be
wealthy, but we're not and I don't intend to pretend I am.
Ever. Being someone you're not is always harder than just
being who you are. Ciao.
