Rose Scented Soap

Okay, now that I've ascertained that this entry isn't
going to vanish into thin air, I'll write. I wrote
yesterday morning, but hadn't realized my-diary was having
problems. Good thing it wasn't of any importance (just me
bitching about not feeling good. Nothing new). I didn't
try to write at all last night. It didn't look like things
had been resolved.

Yesterday was a productivity disappointment. By that I
mean, I didn't get a damn thing done (unless you want to
count cleaning the kitchen, which I don't). I'm not too
upset about it. The main things I REALLY wanted done are
finished (i.e. the last of the boxes and random pictures
propped against walls are gone). Now it's the detail work.
Organizing closets and purging extra stuff we don't need.
I won't die if those things don't get done now. If they
have to wait, that's fine. There's still the hospital bag
and the diaper bag to be done, but I need to find a diaper
bag I like first. It would be so much easier if this baby
were a girl. I saw a super cute pink one yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon, Gen came over to help me with the
backyard, but we never got around to it. Instead we sat
and chatted for awhile (while the little ones took a nap)
and then went out for Chinese. Then topped off our evening
with a trip to Target. I was in search of the diaper bag
I'd put on my registry, but didn't get. Unfortunately, the
solid black one was gone and had been replaced by a grey
and slate blue version that I wasn't as fond of. I like
the shape and solid design of the bag, but the colors
would have clashed horribly with the red, black and silver
stroller I bought. I know, I'm so anal. I'm not even going
to attempt to find a red bag to match, so I'm going for
solid black. I'll look around online. All of my baby
merchandise retailers around here have really disappointed
me with their sad inventory. I've ordered everything
online.

I'm going to try to pitter-patter around the house today
and get some things done. I'm not going to be a cleaning-
nazi or anything, but I'd like to end the day knowing I
did something other than sit and stare at the computer or
watch tv all day.

Oh, and Happy Mother's Day! To me and all the other
mothers out there. Later today, I plan on taking a bath
with the ginormous bar of rose scented soap my loving
husband sent me. I'm not fond of rose scented bath
products, but I just found out he spent $70 on a basket
full of salts, bubble bath, lotion and soaps. It arrived
via Fed Ex yesterday morning. It's truly the thought that
counts and he's going to ask me how I like them. Plus, $70
is incentive enough for me to give it a try. Ciao.
