Funny News Article

I clipped the following article out of our local newspaper
because I thought it was hilarious. It was actually a
report about another article. I'll copy it word for word
so you
can get the full effect:

Dunnellon's Tom Miller sent in a newspaper clipping. Sorry
I don't know which paper, but the article told about
Montana State Trooper Allan Nixon who responded to a call
about a stranded vehicle outside Great Falls, Montana. The
car, stuck in deep snow, still had its engine running.
Inside, the trooper saw an older man passed out behind the
wheel, an empty vodka bottle on the seat beside him. When
Nixon rapped on the window, the man awoke suddenly to see
rotating lights in his rear view mirror and the trooper
standing next to his car. Panicked, he shifted
into "drive" and stomped the gas. The car's speedometer
went to 20, then 30, then 40, then 50 mph, but it was
still stuck in the snow, with the wheels spinning in
place. Nixon, having a sense of humor, began running in
place next to the "speeding" car. The driver, totally
freaked, thought the trooper was actually keeping up with
him. When the trooper yelled, "Pull over," the driver
nodded, turned the wheel and cut the engine. The North
Dakota driver was arrested and, according to the
article, "Is probably still shaking his head over the
state trooper in Montana who could run 50 miles per
hour."
