Continue To Hope For The Best

***

I can't say I had a bad day. It wasn't bad, but I'm very
uncomfortable, so that doesn't make me very happy :( The
heartburn that woke me up at 4am this morning never really
subsided all day. I've got gas like you wouldn't believe.
I feel so bloated and tight, like my skin is too small and
I can't take a deep breath. I'm constipated and to top it
all, my ankles are swollen like ham hocks. I'm not a happy
camper. Not that anyone really cares or anything.

I didn't go back to bed this morning after I wrote.
Instead, I had breakfast, got dressed and started my day.
Annie got dropped off at school on time (along with her
science project), Kiki got to therapy on time, with enough
time beforehand to allow a quick chat with her therapist.
She wanted to know how Kiki was recovering from her ear
infections. Quite frankly, she still isn't 100%. She's
reverted back to grunting, whining, signing and crying for
what she needs and wants instead of talking, which is
disconcerting. She was making so much progress, only to
take a major step back. I'm hoping it's only temporary,
thought. Her therapist said she didn't have anything to
say in class, either. I'll just continue to hope for the
best.

While Kiki was in therapy, I decided to kill time by
walking around Target. Initially, I wanted to get curtains
for the house, but I couldn't decide what I wanted and got
frustrated, so I gave up. Maybe some other time. I wasn't
in the mood for it today. I got a few necessities instead.
Kitty litter, light bulbs and shoes for the girls. After
picking Kiki up we came home and rested. I couldn't shake
my heartburn, which made me not want to do anything.

I took a Zantac 75 when the pain got to be too much. I
only had one left, so I was trying to conserve it. I was
tired and Kiki was down for a nap, so I thought I'd try to
take one too. It lasted for about a half hour before the
burning started again. I wanted to cry.

When Snookums and Annie got home, we took a walk to the
park as a family. I thought the exercise would help settle
my heartburn and it did a little, but the result was
temporary by the time we got home, I was in agony again.

Snookie went out and got me some Zantac 150 (the strongest
they make) and it's starting to work. I'm still
constipated, bloated and swollen, but at least the
heartburn is subsiding :)

I think I'll go lay down now. I'm tired from getting up so
early and I'm hoping I can make up for lost sleep tonight.
Ciao.
