Our Tree Runneth Over

****

I didn't get to write last night, because Sue and I got
back late and had other things to do (wrap, wrap and more
wrapping. How lucky my children will be this year).
Instead of mailing the girls' presents this year, she
decided to do her shopping here. It worked out in there
favor, because the money she usually spends on shipping,
the girls got back in presents. Our tree runneth over. I
did my shopping for them while I was there (at Toys R Us).
I don't want to go into detail about what the girls got
(just in case Annie hacks into my diary and finds out!)
but we'll just leave the subject with, they are making out
this year.

I guess I'm kind of recapping yesterday backwards, but
that's just how it's working out. Before we went shopping
and before we stayed up half the night wrapping, we went
to get our new baby Zoe. Zoe is the sweetest kitten on the
planet. My friend Misty's cat Love had kittens 6 weeks ago
and we've been waiting for Zoe to be weaned so we could
bring her home. At first I was scared about how things
would go, bringing her home to Zeus. My old, cranky cat
that doesn't like anyone or anything, but so far, things
have been pretty good. He hissed and growled at her a
couple times, but for the most part he's been avoiding her
and pretending she doesn't exist.

Today was a lazy day. We didn't do much most of the day
except lay around and watch football. I hate to admit it,
but the game is starting to make sense, which scares me a
little. I always prided myself on hating all things sports
related, but I guess that's changing. Ron is partly to
blame for that. He actually didn't mind (as much), when I
asked 500 million questions in the middle of a crucial
play.

Later in the afternoon, we got the girls all gussied up in
their Christmas dresses and took them to see Santa. Annie
smiled big and beautiful, but Kiki wasn't having any parts
of it, so Snookums and I ended up in the picture too. It
turned into a really nice family picture. I think I'll
make it my default picture on myspace. We'll see.

I gotta go for now. I've got other things to do :) Ciao.
