My Life Thus Far
Eerily Accurate
****
I had another long and tiring day yesterday. So, here I am
the next morning, trying to jot something down on the run,
so I don't get out of my routine. I hate making up days. I
know I'm not obligated to, but I just have to document
everything. You know how I am.
Work was interesting yesterday. I forgot to mention
yesterday, but my manager Tamara found out on Wednesday
that she's pregnant, too! So, there's three of us now that
are pregnant. The saying "there must be something in the
water" is starting to become eerily accurate. So, the
three of us pregnant chicks were having a good time
dealing with the holiday crowd. Tiffany and I are a little
better off than Tamara. We're in our 15th week, so our
hormones have leveled out a little. Tamara is only around
5 weeks, so her hormones are off the charts. Every other
minute she was tearing up or being grumpy about something.
Tiffany and I are on an even keel off pissed-offness. We
don't waver much from that.
When I got home from work, Jason was inexplicably angry
about something and his mother was irritated with having
been closed up in the house with him all day. That didn't
help my mood any. I was hoping to come home to happiness,
but that didn't happen. I made tacos for dinner (Jason's
favorite), but that didn't even cheer him up. So, I gave
up trying and spent the rest of the evening ignoring him.
So far this morning has been lovely. I got to sleep in.
Snookums (who woke up much happier) and I had morning sex,
which I like, but never get. Then we showered and now
we're waiting for his mom to finish getting ready so we
can go out to breakfast. I think we're in for a fun day if
all goes as planned.
Misty says our new kitten is ready to come home! I sent
her a message asking if we could come by and see her,
because we've only seen pictures, but she said we could
just come and get her! I'm excited. I've never owned a
kitten before. I've always had adult cats I've gotten from
shelters. We've already decided to name her Zoe. So we'll
have Zeus and Zoe and I'm crossing my fingers that Zeus
doesn't try to eat her. She will have one fundamental
advantage, though. Claws. She's got them. Zeus doesn't. By
the time he gets in close enough to bit, she'll have
already had her chance to swipe. Not that I want them
fighting, but if I can't get there to stop them, at least
she won't be defenseless. Totally. As you can see I'm
preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Zoe will
be living in our bathroom when we're not around to protect
her. I.E. at night and during the day when we're at work.
At least until she's bigger, stronger and/or we've
ascertained that Zeus isn't going to have her for lunch.
I'd better be going now. The clan is almost ready to roll.
Ciao and I'll try to write tonight, but I make no
promises. Ciao!
