Make no little plans: they have no magic to stir men's
blood . . . make big plans, aim high in hope and work.

I'm so tired. I'm at times astonished by my level of
fatigue these days. I remember when I could stay up all
night and do nothing in particular. Now, I long for
bedtime like the sleep-deprived mother I used to be. When
I'm done writing, guess where I'm going?
I must say, I'm loving that Annie is riding the school bus
in the morning. When we lived in Port Orchard, I had no
choice but to drive her to school. Now that we live in her
district, she catches the bus right at the bottom of our
driveway. She's been so good about getting up in the
morning, getting dressed on time and such. She looks
forward to seeing her friends on the bus and getting to
school early enough to play. That allows me time to sleep
in. But, not tomorrow. Kiki has therapy.
Work was good for the most part. I've been having quite a
few 4 hour shifts and I'm really not complaining about it.
That seems to be my limit. Anything past 4 hours and I
start to get a little bitchy. I know I'll have to channel
the inner bitch in me, by the time holiday rolls around.
The good thing about that, though is I'll be in my second
trimester by then and the placenta takes over production
of the babies hormones at that point, instead of my body
working overtime and flooding me with extra. I should be
more stable by the time "Pink Friday" (the day after
Thanksgiving. Commonly referred to as Black Friday,
because it's the first shopping day of the holiday season
and stores who might have been in the red, go into the
black or get out of debt. At VS, we have to be cute, so we
call it Pink Friday) rolls around.
I knew my time would come...I had to entertain the girls
today. Almost as soon as I got home, Selena came knocking
on the door. She went down and played in Annie's room for
awhile, then around 7:30pm, they came upstairs and Annie
informed me that Selena had been invited to dinner. I was
just going to give Annie and Kiki some Chef Boyardee, but
I didn't have enough for Selena, so I was forced to cook.
They got grilled cheese sandwiches on honey oat bread,
Campbell's Chunky style chicken noodle soup, apple slices
and a twix for dessert. I felt like a real mom :) Now I'm
tired. This real mom is ready for bed.
Before I go, I do want to share an interesting piece of
information I read on babycenter.com today. I was
wondering if anything is wrong with me because although I
do feel a little queasy, I'm not nearly as nauseated as I
was with Annie or Kiki. I really do only have morning
sickness. I wake up feeling a little yucky, but by lunch
time I feel better. Babycenter said that there's a chance
that MIGHT mean I'm carrying a boy. Woman with moderate to
severe nausea/vomiting are 50% more likely to be having a
girl! So, maybe I'll get my boy finally. We'll see...Ciao.
