My Life Thus Far
Full of Happy Adjectives

"Some folks are nothing more than idiots dipped in morron
sause.."
Author Unknown
www.indianchild.com
I chose this quote for three reasons. 1) It's funny 2)
It's true and 3) Both moron and sauce are spelt wrong,
which just goes to show that the unknown author was one of
the idiots dipped in moron sauce that he/she speaks of!
It seemed like it's been forever and a day since I wrote
last, to me anyhow. One week to be exact. But, it feels
like it's been so much longer. So much as gone on in the
past week. Nothing dramatic or traumatic by any means
(unless you consider moving traumatic). I'm not going to
do the day by day rundown, because honestly I can't
remember every detail. It was the usual moving thing. Just
the usual stuff. Packing boxes, loading the truck,
unloading the truck, unpacking the boxes, getting the
girls back on schedule. It's been busy around here, but in
a completely good way. I'm so much happier here. I'm
completely settled in and loving it!
My new neighbors are amazing. It's like night and day from
where we came from. When I got here on Thursday evening,
the two neighbors to our left came out to meet me. At
first, there was a sense of dread. Everyone affiliated
with the military knows how meddling and nosy neighbors in
housing can be. But, they seem nice. They even offered to
help unpack the truck, which at 8pm after a day of packing
and hauling, I was very grateful for. What took us an
entire day to accomplish, took Jason, Misty, her boyfriend
Chris, me and one of our new neighbors an hour to do. I
was beyond grateful for the help.
Since we've moved in, Annie has spent most of her free
time over at Sue's house (the helpful neighbor I mentioned
in the above paragraph). She's got a 10 year old daughter
named Selena that's taken to Annie like you wouldn't
believe. Sue gave us a bunch of Selena's old clothes for
Annie, a barbeque (including 4 propane tanks), a leather
recliner (which I'm in love with, because it cradles my
back so perfectly) and lots of other stuff. Decorations
for holidays, beach chairs, toys. It's all good stuff,
too. Our place is empty because our new house is 3 times
the size of our condo. So, any addition (that isn't junk)
is welcomed. Jason is chilling in his new recliner right
now :)
After coming into the house and getting to walk through
it, I figured out the layout pretty quick. The master
bedroom and bath are on the first floor along with the
living room, dining room and kitchen. Downstairs is
Annie's room, Kiki's room, their bathroom (a full
bathroom!), their playroom (that I didn't even know
existed by the looks of the outside of the house), the
laundry room and a utility room with the central heater
and water heater in it. We're calling that Zeus' room. His
box and food/water bowls are in there. I'm so pleased with
this place. For the first time I feel like I have a real
house. An actual home. We've all got room to spread out
and do our own thing, without being right on top of each
other. It's lovely. Wow, I'm just full of happy
adjectives, aren't I? Well, I'm happy! Funny that. I've
even been cooking dinner every night. I've been
domesticated!
I also have another bit of news to share. Thursday night I
found out I'm pregnant (again). I kind of already knew I
was, but that's when I tested positive. It still hasn't
completely sunk in yet. Some parts of my body feel
pregnant (my breasts for damn sure and the little twinges
in my lower abdomen remind me that I am), but I haven't
had any real nausea or morning sickness yet. It almost
makes me worry. I'm so used to being sick the first few
months of pregnancy. At least then I know things are
normal. I don't know what to think now. Are my hormone
levels high enough? I'm sure they are. It's just my job to
worry. Oh, and if anyone was wondering, this one is
Jason's :)
I think I'll be going now. Snookums and I are going to lay
in bed and watch a movie before we go to bed. Ciao and
goodnight.
