Sleep Is Bliss

They can conquer who believe they can.

Sleep is bliss. Snookums let me sleep in again this
morning. He got the girls up and ready for daycare
(without my help), he dropped them off by himself and did
all of this without one complaint. He feels that I deserve
the time off and who am I to complain? I love the break
I'm getting. I kind of don't think I deserve it, but if
he's willing to give me some time off, then I'll take it
until he's tired of giving it. Eventually he's going to
expect me to go back to my role as wife. The cook,
cleaning and child-rearing. I can see it coming already.

I slept in all of the morning, until Gen called around
12:45pm. Sam had duty today and Gen needed to stop by PSD
for something, but didn't want that to be the only reason
she came out. So, we met up for coffee. We didn't do our
usual 3 hour Starbucks visit, because we both had things
to do, but we're trying to make a concerted effort to not
lose contact with each other. We're both good at doing
that. Me more so than her.

Snookums and I went to the housing office after Starbucks.
We went in with all of our paperwork done and ready to
turn in. Their computers were down, so the guy we spoke to
told us to call next week and see if they'd found us
something. I'm hoping we get a house sooner rather than
later. I don't want to get pushed out of this place
because Debbie (our landlady) sells it out from under us.
I'm pretty sure our neighbors won't be sad to see us go. I
cussed out the old bat next door yesterday. She's
constantly slamming windows and doors when we go out to
smoke on OUR patio. Yesterday she screamed out the
window "filthy crap"! Since I'm in the midst of my "time
of the month" I couldn't control myself. I went across the
hall, rang her door bell and told her to stop being
childish and that the homeowners association all thought
she was a cranky old bitch. Which is true, because I
talked to the director of the homeowners association and
that's exactly what he said about her. Anyhow, they think
they might have something available soon.

Snookie and I had a nice early dinner together. Helena
sent us a $75 gift card to Olive Garden, so we went there
together (without the girls). It was nice being able to
sit and talk to each other without one or both girls
tugging at us or asking for something. I love being their
mommy, but mommy/daddy time is nice, too.

This evening (with it being Friday and all) we went to
Mako's. It was fun, as usual. I think Snookums was a
little jealous about me dancing with Ron, but he realizes
that it is just dancing and nothing more. Having a male
friend isn't something most men would allow their wives to
do, so I consider myself lucky. I can tell he's not
entirely pleased about it and can you really blame him?
No. I'm pushing my luck. After the club, we did breakfast,
which is fast becoming a tradition for us. We've done it
the past 3 weekends. I like it alot. I'm not hung over the
next morning if I eat something before I go to bed. It's
the perfect cure to a hangover.

I'm tired. I don't usually write after the club, but I've
been so bad about remembering to write lately that I have
to do it when I'm thinking about it. Since I didn't drink
enough to get too tore up, I'm doing it now. Ciao and
goodnight.
