Instant Fucked-Up In A Bottle

It isn't diary-time yet. But I just HAD to share last
night with you. It was fun, although I'm well aware that
it could have had a much different outcome.

Misty wanted me to come down to Mako's and hang out with
her. I wasn't going to, but I decided what the hell. So, I
get there around 9:50pm. I get up to the bouncer (Juan,
yes, I'm there enough to know him name) to show him my ID,
but I'd forgotten my driver's license because I switched
purses. I had my military ID with me, but he said they
couldn't take that because it was too easy to forge. I
find that hilarious that it's good enough to get me on
military installations, but it can't get me into a dive
like Mako's. So, he tells me if I go home and get my
driver's license, I won't have to pay the $3.00 cover
charge when I get back. That was really sweet of him. So,
I went home and got it.

Once inside, things didn't start hopping until around
11pm. I sat with Misty and watched people dance and made
fun of the lesbians making out at the table in front of
us. It was fun! After a couple drinks, we were ready to
dance. We started out dancing together, but you know men
when they see a woman dancing by herself, they just have
to come up from behind and start dancing with them. I
didn't mind, until this one guy started grinding me really
hard and smelling my hair and neck. That's just a little
too close for comfort. He was whispering things in my ear
too, like you smell so good and you're such a good dancer.
You move so well. It was flattering, of course, but after
one dance, I had to move away from him. He was enjoying it
a little too much if you know what I mean ;)

Then there was this guy named Johnny (the only name I
remembered, because it's my dad's name) who kept buying me
drinks. Tequila shots. That stuff is instant fucked-up in
a bottle. He didn't want to dance, he just wanted to talk,
which was a downer, because I didn't want to talk. I
wanted to dance. So, I entertained myself with the drinks
he paid for, while he talked about god knows what (I
wasn't listening). There was no way I was driving home.
The last thing I need in my life is a DUI.

Around 1:45am, I went outside and walked up to one of the
about 25 police officers that are routinely posted outside
the club. I like all the security. It makes me feel safe.
Anyhow, I went up to one of them and asked him if they did
sobriety tests. He said no, I had to go by how I felt.
Since the whole world was spinning and I couldn't remember
where I parked my car anyhow, I decided it wasn't a good
idea to drive home. I told him I'd walk, but he said that
wasn't a good idea because I'm female and it was late. So,
he sent me back in the club to call a cab. When I got to
the door, Juan (the bouncer, who calls me baby) caught me
on my way to the ground. He sat me in his chair by the
door and told me to wait a couple minutes. He'd take me
home.

Juan drove me home, walked me to my door and handed me off
to Selena (who was laughing at me). I made it to bed. I
didn't throw up and other than a little headache when I
woke up this morning, I feel fine. I'm going out again
tonight, too. Bone Thugs N Harmony is coming to Mako's and
I told Snookums I'd try to get him an autograph or a
picture if I could. If it were any ordinary Saturday, I
wouldn't go back out. Friday is enough, but this is a
special occasion. Ron might go, too. But he's not sure. I
know one things for sure. I'm not accepting anymore free
drinks. I'll stick with my one weak drink and water the
rest of the night. Ciao
