Nothing-New Kind Of Days

****

Every day is a birthday, for every day we are born anew.

Ellen Browning Scripps

Other than my scorchingly painful sunburn, I really can't
complain about today. I worked a 9-1:30pm shift, which
felt weird. Just when I was getting used to being at work,
it was time to leave! I'm not complaining. I wanted less
hours and more time to myself, I just hadn't taken into
account how weird it would feel to actually have to work
less. I got to spend some time with Gen before she has the
baby (any day now). I know he'll put a damper on our
together-time. My girls are usually not with us, but Cyrus
will have to be. I'm cool with that, though. I love little
babies, and he'll be one I can play with and then send
home!

I'm going to bed as soon as I put the girls to bed. My
sunburn is making me feel hot, tired and a teeny bit
cranky. I'm not one to complain (except maybe to Gen and
in here), especially not when I brought the pain on
myself, but sunburn sucks. You don't think about your skin
much until it's burnt to a crisp and every movement feels
like you're peeling it off with a vegetable peeler.

Well, I'm out of things to talk about. It was yet another
one of those nothing-new kind of days. Maybe I'll have
something juicy to share tomorrow...but I wouldn't hold my
breath if I were you. Ciao.
