My Life Thus Far
Purple Velour
****
Remember how a walking trip always seems shorter if we
concentrate, not on the total distance to our destination,
but just the distance to the next milepost. In the same
way, we should concentrate on living within today. Then
better tomorrows will inevitably follow.

I'm so tired. I'm tired like I worked today, but I didn't.
I did, but not at Victoria's Secret. Housework is just as
much exertion as a 9-5. In my case, housework is
definitely more exertion.
I slept okay last night. I went to bed after midnight and
woke up around 8am, so it was a full night's sleep. I
dropped the girls off and went to Starbucks. Gen ended up
not having the baby today, they decided not to induce her,
but she was tired none-the-less, so I went by myself. I
was hungry and it gave me a chance to sit, relax and work
on the baby's blanket (without Gen seeing it). The put new
chairs in Gen and my spot, too! They're purple velour. I
find them slightly more firm than our old blue chairs, but
that's to be expected. They also put some new food on the
menu. Some different salads and pasta dishes. The chicken
and penne looked good, but I was in the mood for
breakfast, not lunch.
After Starbucks, I headed to the mall to get my nails
done. I didn't really want to go to the mall today, but I
was in dire need of getting my nails done. I didn't want
to wait another day. They're shorter, cleaner and coated
with a fresh layer of polish (Dripping Wet again, but this
time it looks different. Deep burgundy instead of a
lighter red. I still like it though).
Once I got my daggers taken care of, I came home to clean.
I wasn't feeling it today, but I looked at my NEVER AGAIN
on the whiteboard and I remembered what I went through to
get it clean. I don't want to have to spend hours on it
again. So, I bit the bullet and just did it. I did
everything from de-furring furniture to sweeping, mopping
and vacuuming. I did everything and it only took me a
little over an hour to get the house perfect. That's the
most cleaning I ever want to do in any given day. I'm
pleased that I'm at least sticking to this one pledge.
I need to give the girls something to eat. They're hungry
and Kiki is getting tired. She's walking around pouting
and throwing things on the floor. I think the terrible
two's are starting for her (finally). Ciao.
