My Life Thus Far

I Saw A Rainbow Today

****

I'm loving these 4 hour shifts. It leaves me time to have
a life. An actual life outside of work. Today, Gen and I
did our Starbucks thing (this afternoon instead of this
morning. I worked 9-1). Afterwards, we went to Linen's N
Things, then Target to find me a new garbage can. I've got
this little 8 gallon can under my kitchen sink (in the
cabinet), but it's always getting full. Every 5 minutes
I'm changing it. This time I've got a more reasonable 13
gallon. Already I'm pleased with it.

On the way home from picking up the girls, I saw a
rainbow. I feel so special! All the elements must coincide
perfectly for a rainbow to form and I just so happened to
be in the right place at the right time. I don't see
rainbows often, so I enjoyed the momentary pleasure. I
sound like a 5th grader, but oh well.

I had the most flattering thing happen today. This past
weekend, out of boredom, I decided to look up some of my
ex-boyfriends from high school on myspace. I found all but
two of them and left them messages. There was this one
named Travis that I dated twice. Once as a Freshmen and
again as a Sophomore. We talked a little as Juniors, but
nothing came of it. Well, he messaged me back today,
saying that he'll never forget me (probably because he
lost his virginity to me) and that he always regretted
fucking things up. Not once, but twice. He still thinks
about me to this day. Nothing can come of this, but it's
still quite flattering. Wouldn't every woman want to know
a man she hadn't seen in 10 years thought about her
constantly and wished he were still with her? Maybe not,
but I like the attention.

I'm starving. I had a piece of Godiva Double Chocolate
Cheesecake for breakfast (a few sips of a chai
frappuccino) and a Kashi TLC bar for lunch, I guess.
Total, it ended up being about 700 calories (I can't stop
thinking about calories!) I need to get back on plan, at
least I'm not overeating. That's always a plus. Anyhow,
I'm ready for dinner now. Ciao.
