My Life Thus Far
50 Minutes and $50 Later
****
What a good day I had. It was extraordinary or anything,
but it was pretty darn good. I have no room for
complains...at least not today.
This morning I woke up feeling really good. That feeling
only got better once I stepped out of bed, opened my
bedroom door and took in the beauty of all my hard work.
No dust, no piles of clothes, gleaming wood floors and a
shiny shower. It was wonderful.
After dropping off the girls, I still had an hour before I
needed to be at work, so I in at my nail salon and got a
mani/pedi. 50 minutes and $50 later, I came out feeling
like a new woman, with "sass in a glass" pink polish on my
fingers and toes. Grooming can be so therapeutic.
Work went by amazingly quick. I was just getting settle
in, when it was time for my 15 (break). By the time I got
in a groove doing bra fittings and finding illusive panty
colors, it was 3pm and I was off the clock. I hope I keep
getting these short days. I don't need the money, I just
like the diversion. So, short days are ideal for me.
After work, I stopped in at the post office to mail 6
packages to Snookums I've been putting off for weeks. I
spent $56.30 mailing them. Probably the most I've ever
spent at the post office at one time. But it's worth it.
Snookums will be so happy. He loves getting packages.
There are a few things in life that make you feel like a
real grown up. For me, one of those things is going to the
post office. The post office is pretty much the center of
our our society. All kinds of people go to the post
office. It's a socio-economic hub. You see all kinds of
people there, conducting all kinds of business. I feel
important (like I've got important business) when I go
there. Weird, I know. I can be so silly.
That's all for now. Nothing more to say. Ciao until
tomorrow!
