My Life Thus Far
***NEWS FLASH***
****
What a much better day I had today! Of course I did. I was
back to work and my purpose for getting up in the morning.
***NEWS FLASH***
KIKI JUST MEOWED! SHE CAME UP TO ME HOLDING A BABY
EINSTEIN BOOK, POINTED TO THE CAT AND SAID "MEOW". That
had better go on her list of words!
Anyway, back to what I was saying. Even though I had a
hard time getting up this morning, I still managed to get
going on time. Kiki had her usual therapy session and then
I had to be to work at 11am. It was slow (as usual)
because of it being a Monday, so I was hoping to get off
at 3pm so I could get my nails done. Kim insisted on
keeping me for my on-call (even though it was deader than
Wild Waves in December). By 4:45pm she decided that it
didn't make sense to have 5 people working when we didn't
have that many people come in in over an hour, so she let
me go. I had just enough time to run to the nail salon and
get my nails done. I had a girl doing my toes, a guy doing
my fingers and in what had to be record time, I was out of
there by 5:30pm. Plenty of time to pick up the girls. I
got everything I wanted accomplished today. Now, if only I
can do that and still have some energy left. I know I
won't be up late tonight.
Now, on to a completely unrelated topic: I think Kiki
might be ready to try the potty training thing. Lately,
she's been able to tell me what she's got going on in her
diaper and if she's ready to have it changed. On Saturday,
she brought me a clean diaper and told me she had poo-poo
in the one she was wearing. I checked her and sure enough
she did. I know her communication skills aren't the best,
but I'm thinking that if I get her a little potty chair
and put it in the bathroom, she might be willing to
imitate me and her sister when we go in there. She already
follows me in there as it is. She might as well learn
something. Other than "bye-bye pee-pee (and/or poo-poo)".
Okay, I'm going to eat now. Not that I need to. My weight
is creeping up, what seems like, every day. I need to get
my motivation back and crack open that 6 week body
makeover kit before the warranty wears out. Ciao until
tomorrow.
P.S. Tomorrow I see Dr. Martin in the morning. I hope it's
another good session.
