My Life Thus Far
Recapturing My Childhood
****
I have nothing interesting to write about. Everyday I try
my hardest to think of new and exciting ways to make my
mundane life sound more fun, but yet another day of
failure remains. Nothing interesting, not today.
I went to the gym and worked out (but that's all I'll say
about that, since I've got my veganmyspace blog to write
that crap in). Then, Gen and I met up for coffee (as
usual). That's definitely one of my favorite things to do.
I realized this morning that I hadn't set foot into a
Starbucks until I met Gen. The girl's gone and corrupted
me!
Work was great. I love that it isn't as busy now. I worked
on projects again. I marked down 150 Shock Absorber sports
bras and divided them into their appropriate size bins. It
may sound tedious, but finishing something gives me a real
sense of accomplishment. I ended up staying a little later
because somebody called in sick (it was only an extra half
an hour), but it kind of threw off the rest of the
evening, because I didn't leave work until 5:45pm, which
made me late picking up the girls. When I got to Kiki's
daycare, the door was locked. That's never happened
before, but they didn't charge me for being late. I was
only past 6pm by 4 minutes. I mean, really.
Tonight, Gen and I are having a sleepover! She came over
around 7:45pm. We watched Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy and
Men in Trees. I haven't had a sleepover since I was 12
years old, so this is kind of fun. It's almost like
recapturing my childhood. We ate cookies and french fries,
which totally violates my "getting back in shape" goal,
but it was vegan, so I'm good. I'll just admit my
transgressions to the food diary and try to be better
tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, I think it's time for bed. I didn't
get to bed until late last night (I was messing with my
myspaces' - that would be plural, seeing as how I have two
different ones). I think Gen's ready for bed, too. It will
be nice not sleeping alone in my big, cold bed. Okay
freaks, none of you get any ideas! We don't swing that
way! Ciao and goodnight.
