Strappy Heels With No Hose

****

Sorry I didn't write last night. I just wasn't feeling up
to it. All day yesterday I felt like I was fighting off a
cold (wasn't likely to be the flu, since I had a flu
shot). I got through work okay. I didn't feel that bad,
other than a scratchy throat and feeling a little rundown.
For the most part I had a really good day. It didn't help
that I'd worn strappy heels with no hose and it was
pouring rain when I left the mall. I had so much water in
my shoes when I got home, I could dump it out. That
probably didn't help my health situation much.

On another note, Kiki had her one-on-one evaluation with a
Holly Ridge therapist yesterday. They went to Kiki's
daycare to observe her and do some interactive activities
with her to further assess her needs. After that, Snookums
met with the therapist to answer more questions. I
couldn't be there, because I was at work, but as
consolation, I get 5 pages of paperwork to fill out. I'm
so sick of the paperwork. I wish they hadn't wanted to
meet her so quickly. Snookums called them to set up a home
meeting and when they found out she was at the CDC, they
decided to just visit her there. I wanted to be there,
because I'm able to read people's body language and
responses and I would have been able to detect what the
therapist thought. Snookums can't detect a damn thing. The
lady didn't tell him anything, so he didn't know how Kiki
performed. Had I been there. I would have known. Now, I'll
be surprised at the appointment on the 10th. I hate
surprises.

Today was a nice day. My Snookums is trying to take care
of me (as much as I'll let him). He bought me some
vegetarian soup, cold pills and lots of diet juice. He's
very sweet, but I'd rather just be left to die on my own.
I laid on the couch (and took about 6 catnaps) while
Snookie watched football and the girls played on the rug.
It was a nice Saturday for the most part. Other than being
sick with a chest cold.

Okay, I'm going back to my sick bed. I don't get to be
sick often, so I'm going to relish in my illness. Ciao.
