My Life Thus Far

Black Friday

****

Black Friday wasn't nearly as frightening as management
made it out to be. It was crazy-busy, but not too
terrible. 32 associates milling around in that tiny little
store was hardly necessary and only served to thwart my
credit-getting abilties! I only managed to scrounge up 6
cards today, and that's really sad, because I was there 7
hours and I do 6 cards on my average 4 hour shifts. In all
fairness to myself, they only had their best associates
working today (and I'm flattered to be considered one of
them) so, it was expected that I'd have to share the
credit glory with all the other go-getters there today.
The story only seemed so crowded because there was so many
of US in there. The customers where overwhelmed by all the
help they were getting. It was a fun day, though. I even
got my SUPERMODEL tote (sorry Gen, they're sold out, but
I'm willing to share!) For some reason I just felt like I
needed to get it because everyone else did. I ended up
buying a Sexy Little Things bra, 3 pairs of coordinating
panties and a pair of VS yoga pants in black and pink. I
love shopping at VS. I got $103.00 worth of stuff for
$64.00. Viva la employee discount!

I'm a little irritated that when I got home my VS package
hadn't arrived. Last weekend, I ordered a bunch of stuff
from Victoria's Secret.com and I paid extra for it to be
delivered today, but somehow they messed up my address and
it's going to be another two days before it gets here.
That was as of the 22nd, so it better be here tomorrow or
I'm going to be royally pissed. I PAID EXTRA and it's
getting here the same time it would have had they thrown
it in the back of the mail truck, instead of putting it on
a UPS jet. Rediculous, I tell you. Just rediculous.

Sue watched the girls today without a hitch. No one was
crying, injured, traumatized or neglected. The girls were
okay, too! I'm glad they didn't scare grandma off. Who
knows when we might need babysitting again.

Snookums has duty today, so I get to sleep alone tonight.
I'm starting to not mind sleeping alone. I'm learning to
live by myself, so having Snookums home is like a lovely
little vacation, but not ordinary life. When he leaves
again, things will be back to "normal". Isn't that sad? No
one should consider being without their loved
one "normal". Oh well, it's survival. I'm going to bed
now. I had a full day. Ciao.
