A Vegetarian Thanksgiving

*****

I can't say it was vegan (because I had pumpkin pie and
banana bread. Both have milk and eggs), but it was
vegetarian. No turkey, no gravy, no stuffing. I didn't
feel like I needed it, even though I considered giving
myself license to do so. When I looked at the table, all
set up with the good-looking food, I was just so pleased
that everything went off without a hitch. That was enough.
Eating it didn't seem necessary. Snookums was so happy
that I'd taken the effort to cook the whole spread (except
for the stuffing, cranberry sauce and green bean
casserole. Gen did those), he got over the fact that I
didn't want to eat half of it. I made vegan sweet potatoes
and mashed potatoes. Gen made the green bean casserole
vegan and there was vegan dinner rolls, too. So, I got my
fill. I decided Thanksgiving wouldn't be Thanksgiving
without pumpkin pie and having a little milk and eggs is a
whole lot different than chomping down on a piece of
turkey. It's a much smaller leap. So, my Thanksgiving went
well.

I'd love to write more, but Grey's Anatomy is about to
come on and I don't want to miss that! Tomorrow is Black
Friday and I have to work. Pray for me! Ciao.
