My Life Thus Far

Anyone Who Doesn't Get It, Isn't Ready To Know

****

There's a girl that writes here by the name of Kara89. I
feel bad for her. She has serious food issues and it
reminds me of ME just a matter of months ago. I'm so glad
I'm over that. Food and I are getting along so well now.
It never ceases to amaze me when I wake up thin every
morning. I haven't been putting much thought into how much
or what I eat. I love french fries, I eat them whenever I
want. Along with as many vegan cookies as my tummy can
handle. But for the most part, I eat veg and that probably
balances things out. I love my choice. I only question it
when others do. Strangers don't understand and some people
aren't supportive (like Sue. Snookums said she made fun of
me today when he called her). I'm happy with my life and
myself FOR ONCE. So, anyone who doesn't get it, isn't
ready to know.

I had a meeting at work this morning from 8-10am. It was
basically a run-through/rehearsal for Black Friday. I'm
nervous. Apparently, it's going to be CRAZY and others in
the past haven't been able to handle it. They've had
people go on a break and just never come back. How sad is
that? So, they've scheduled only their tenured associates
(how the hell did I end up in that group? I'm supposed to
be seasonal-not permanent) and the ones that are good at
what they do. I'm a little stressed just thinking about
it, but I'll do my best and I won't worry too much about
anything or anyone else. I'll just do what I do and I'll
be fine.

I took advantage of the Family Friendly Fitness Center
today. The girls loved it! Annie used the kid's resistance
equipment, Kiki watched a movie and played with the toys
in the toddler area. I got to use the elliptical and a
stationary bike. Plus resistance bands and an exercise
ball. I felt so good once I left. It gave the the energy
to tackle the Thanksgiving grocery shopping!

The Commissary was pure chaos. I managed to find
everything I needed and I even picked out a cute little 10
pound turkey I named Thaddeus J. Bird (the "j" is for
juicy). I have no intention of eating any of him, but I
love my family (including Gen and Sam) and I want them to
have a traditional Thanksgiving. This holiday is about way
more than just the main entree. It's about togetherness
and family and a turkey represents that. Even if I don't
eat any of it.

Remember that laundry I needed to put away? Well, it still
needs to be put away. Why do I hate laundry so much? I
have no choice but to get it done. So, I must go now. Ciao.
