My Life Thus Far
Perfectionistic Perfect and Gay Pride
*****
"We have been and are still going through endless
suffering without deriving any benefit whatever from it.
Now that we have promised to be good-hearted, we should
try not to get angry when others insult us. Being patient
might not be easy. It requires considerable concentration.
But the result we achieve by enduring these difficulties
will be sublime. That is something to be happy about!"
Compared to yesterday, today was fabulous! I woke up
feeling 100% better, Kiki was better AND I got the entire
house back into my perfectionist perfect standards. Which
took all day, but since I had nothing else to do, it
didn't matter. Now I can be happy!
Honestly, I'm exhausted. I think I over-did myself after
being so sick yesterday and now I'm ready to call it a
night. It's only 10:17pm. What happened to my 2am nights?
I don't know, but it ain't happening tonight. There is
just one little story I'd like to tell before I head off
to dreamland:
When I'm cleaning I like to listen to my favorite radio
station over the internet. It doesn't come in so clear
over the radio because of the distance between me and the
station, so I prefer the HD digital radio on the website.
Well, between the hours of noon and 1:30pm KUBE plays old
school lunch, which is a bunch of old music from back in
the day. I don't particularly like it, so I decided to
explore some of the other HD digital stations around the
country. I stumbled across this one in Miami that's
description was Pride (KUBES description is Xtreme Hip
Hop). Out of curiosity, I clicked on it and gave it a try.
I loved it! It was upbeat, disco/techno type music, which
was really fun to clean to! After about two hours of
listening to it, dancing all the while. I came out of the
bathroom just in time to hear an announcer say during a
break "The #1 gay pride station in the nation!". Never had
I even wondered what was meant by the word pride in the
description, but I had to laugh. Here I was, getting down
to the gay pride radio station and loving it! I've got the
same taste in music as a gay man! I just had to share
that. I surprise myself at how naive I can be.
Okay, it's bedtime. Sorry to cut this short, but my eyes
feel like 35 pound dumbells. Do dumbells come that big?
Ciao.
