My Life Thus Far
Buddha's Personal Life
****
"As a spiritual trainee, you must be prepared to endure
the hardships involved in a genuine spiritual pursuit and
be determined to sustain your effort and will. You must
anticipate the multiple obstacles that you are bound to
encounter along the path and understand that the key to a
successful practice is never to lose your determination.
Such a resolute approach is very important.
The story of the Buddha's personal life is the story of
someone who attained full enlightenment through hard work
and unwavering dedication."
Today was a good day. I really have nothing to complain
about. Other than the nagging headache I've had for most
of it. I haven't taken anything for it, but I'm tempted
to. I might just need to lay down, go to bed early, or
maybe have sex. Sex always helps. In all actuality, it has
a medical purpose behind it. The happy hormones released
during sex increase the blood flow to the brain and in
doing so, relieves the vascular constriction causing the
headache. I'm a wealth of random knowledge, what can I
say.
My day was very typical for me, nothing exciting to write
about. I worked, which is always fun (and I mean that). I
managed to get 6 new angels accounts in 4 hours, which
still amazes me. I don't know why I'm so much better at
getting them than everyone else. I'm not trying any harder
or pressuring people. I just sincerely explain to them the
benefits of having one. Lord knows I love mine! Maybe it's
because I don't ever take no for an answer, well, at least
not easily. Having my manager tell me that she wants to
learn from my technique is a huge compliment. Especially
since she's been working at VS for over 12 years.
I needed comfort food tonight, so for dinner I made
spaghetti (with veggie crumbles and spinich in it just to
sneak some extra veggies in on my family and whole wheat
pasta) and garlic bread (yes, it was vegan. Surprising,
huh)? It was so good. One of the best dinners I've made in
awhile. For dessert tonight, we're having banana splits
with soy "ice cream", sugar free strawberry topping and of
course, bananas. I'm looking forward to that. I need
something sweet. The pumpkin spice cookie I had on break
just wasn't enough.
My boobies are still sore and swollen, I'm a teeny bit
bloated (although, it's better than it was yesterday) and
I'm so tired (physically) and cold. It's got PMS written
all over it. The symptoms, that is. I'll be glad when it
comes already and lets me move on with life in my healthy,
happy body!
Okay, I'm going now. I need to return an e-mail Dad sent
me yesterday, then get my dessert on! Ciao.
