My Life Thus Far

Hi Snookums

Since I'm still a little miffed at myself for deleting
that entry, I can't bring myself to re-write it. So, I cut
and pasted the e-mail I wrote Snookums last night in here,
so you can at least have some sort of idea what my day was
like. It isn't worded exactly how I'd write an entry, but
it's a letter to my husband, not a diary entry. You get
the idea. My day did end up turning out better than it
sounds in this e-mail. My evening was really relaxing, so
it ended up working it's way from a *** to a **** day.
Here's yesterday's daily wisdom, too. I don't want you to
miss out on that:

"Wise parents, without any anger, may sometimes scold or
even punish their children. This is permissible, but if
you really get angry and whack the child too much, then
you will feel regret in the future. However, with a good
motivation of seeking a child's welfare, it is possible to
display an expression appropriate to what the child needs
at that moment."

Hi Snookums,

I was just starting to wonder why my Snookums hadn't
written me all day, when I got your e-mail. I'm sorry
you're day was long, but mine was, too. I had one of those
days I have ONLY when Snookums is gone. A horrible,
rotten, no good, very bad day.

It started out okay. I dropped the girls off, went to the
gym, but when I came out of the gym, it all went down
hill. My cell phone told me I had a new voicemail and at
that moment, I knew I was in trouble. It was Annie's
school. They did a school-wide lice check on all the
children and apparently I missed some nits when I did her
hair. They have a no-nit policy, so they wanted me to come
get her from school. This is ONE HOUR before I'm supposed
to be at work, mind you. I was pissed! I know for a fact
Annie doesn't have lice. I spent 4 hours of my time
irradicating them myself, only for them to tell me she had
to leave school because she had a few NON-VIABLE nits in
her hair. They were dead, I missed them when I combed, but
they were dead, so they had me come to the school so I
could pull 4 or 5 nits out of her head so she could go
back to class. She was one of two children in her class
that happened to, so now her entire class knows she had
lice when I was trying to protect her from that. She was
so sad. I got mad at them and yelled at the school nurse
telling her I thought their policy was unfair and put
unneeded emphasis on children when it was more important
that discretion be used. They pulled Annie out of class
and made her sit in the nurses office coloring. I hate
people sometimes.

As if that wasn't bad enough, on my way to Annie's school,
I got a call from Kiki's daycare. She was crying
uncontrollably and they didn't know what to do. So, with
30 minutes until I had to be to work I had to stop in the
CDC to check on Kiki. It turns out she twisted her ankle
and was limping. She'd stopped crying by the time I got
there, but I was scared for a minute that I'd have to take
her home and miss work. I really had to stop, relax and
calm myself down. I still managed to get to work on time,
only to find out that Annie's school had called there
looking for me, because Annie told them I worked at
Victoria's Secret. Today was a complete disaster. Not to
mention now that the whole lice thing has resurfaced, I've
got a creepy-crawly feeling on my head and I KNOW I don't
have lice. I've got so much styling product on my hair,
there's no way a bug could survive in there!

Work was okay for the most part (other than my 3 inch
heels nearly killed me) and was the only thing that made
my day a little better. What can go wrong in a pink
store? Remember the black guy that works at Champs? I sold
him a $58.00 black and pink corset with matching panties
and garters (another $40.00). He was in a big rush. That
must have been one expensive booty-call!

They had the memorial service for those 4 Lincoln sailors
that died last weekend. It was in the 502 gym. The base
was SO crowded when that let out. The exact moment I found
out I had to rush to Annie's school. I was going to eat
lunch, but instead I got to pick dead lice eggs out of
Annie's head. I was nearly dying of hunger by the time I
got home.

I'm okay now, so that's what matters most. Kiki is fast
asleep, Annie is taking advantage of my compassion for her
and is watching cartoons and I'm writing you!

I'll let you go now. I'm ready to go to sleep. Yeah, it's
early, but I've had one of those days. I love you so much,
it hurts sometimes. I'll be looking forward to hearing
from you tomorrow!

Love You Always,
Peachy Bear
