Keeping Secrets

*****

"The metaphor of light is a common image in all the major
religious traditions. In the Buddhist context, light is
particularly associated with wisdom and knowledge;
darkness is associated with ignorance and a state of
misknowledge.

This corresponds to the two aspects of the path: there is
the method aspect, which includes such practices as
compassion and tolerance, and the wisdom or knowledge
aspect, the insight penetrating the nature of reality.

It is the knowlege or wisdom aspect of the path that is
the true antidote to dispelling ignorance."

Well, where do I start? The one and only thing on my mind
today is Victoria's Secret...I GOT THE JOB!!! I called the
manager this morning and she informed me that she wanted
to hire me without the working interview. My references
were "stellar" (her words not mine). Thanks Sherilan for
giving me the good reference you promised! The manager of
Victoria's Secret is a patient at the dental office I used
to work at, so I already knew who she was and all that
good stuff. I don't remember her children's names or all
of her dental work (that would just be weird) but I
remember her because I thought it was a cool connection
between myself and my favorite store. In a round-about
way, my short time at Silverdale Dental Center worked in
my favor. I like to think of every step of my life as a
potential opportunity for growth. I'm always taking a step
forward, which I'm grateful for. I sure wouldn't want to
be taking steps backwards!

Gen wasn't feeling well this morning, so I had to work out
on my own. Which was fine. I love my time at the gym, with
or without her. We met up afterwards, her, Sam and I. I
bought a pretty black cardigan at Old Navy (to add to my
collection of black attire I'll need for my new job!)while
Sam picked up something at Best Buy (they're next door to
each other). Gen, of course, gave me the moral support I
needed to help me spend Snookums' money (like I really
need help)! Afterwards we chilled at Starbucks, because
somehow I've made it my habit and I pulled a guilt
treatment to get them there! Not on purpose, it just
happened that way.

I helped Gen dye her hair today. That was fun. I'm
thinking of dying my hair, too, but I'm waiting until a
little closer to when Snookums gets home. I'm also going
to get a tattoo, a facial and buy Snookums the PSP he's
been wanting, but I'll wait until it gets a little closer
to when Snookums gets home, because I'm horrible at
keeping secrets from him, so the less time I have to
remain tightlipped, the better. I'll have to get the
tattoo next week so I'll have a couple of weeks to heal
before he gets home. Nothing is getting in my way of
having wild, horny, unbridled (literally) sex! Certainly
not a tender tattoo.

I have things to do (dishes and scrapbooking. Maybe.) so,
I'll be going now. Ciao!
