I'm Actually Doing Okay

Yesterday’s:
“Regarding intergender relationships, I see two principal
types of relationships based on sexual attraction. One
form is pure sexual desire in which the motive or impetus
is temporary satisfaction, a sort of immediate
gratification. But it is not very reliable or stable
because the individuals are related to each other not as
people, but rather as objects.

In the second type, attraction is not predominately
physical. Rather, thee is an underlying respect and
appreciation of the value of the other person, based on
one’s feeling that the other person is kind, nice, and
gentle. One can therefore accord respect and dignity to
that other individual.”

Today’s:
“While one possesses the facilities of wealth, position,
education, and so on, it is crucial that there be some
internal restraining factor that constantly keeps one in
check so one is not spoiled by these facilities and never
loses the fundamental insight into the underlying
unsatisfactory nature of cyclic existence. The proper
perspective is to utilize this as an aid in the path, and
in working for the benefit of other sentient beings.

There is always the need to maintain balance, not to go to
any extremes, and to have full knowledge of how to proceed
along the path in the best and most effective way.”

Since it isn’t looking like my-diary is coming back up any
time soon. I figured I might as well write in Word and
just paste it in when it comes back up. That way I won’t
have to miss so many days , like I did when it went down
the last time. I did notice something different in me this
time, as opposed to last time. I’m not nearly as panicked.
I haven’t gone on a feverish search for a new diary site.
I’m not scared of being without it. I’m actually doing
okay. I don’t think I’m as dependant upon my dairy as I
once was. I love writing in it, but I’m not in NEED of
writing for fear of offing myself. This is a sure sign of
personal growth!

Yesterday was a great day. Really. Only, it wasn’t such a
fascinating day, so I really don’t have much to say about
it. OH! Yes, now I remember. Gen and I hung out! How could
I forget. We went to Starbucks, has some coffee and shared
a fruit salad. Then we went to the mall to exercise (I
swear, both of us are trying to spend less money). We did
pick up some magnets for our cars, but that was it. I got
one for me and one for Snookums. He should love the new
addition to The Teal Beast (that‘s what I call his little
four-banger Mazda pickup). Mine is a spoof on those yellow
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS ribbons. Mine says SUPPORT BAD GIRLS in
black letters on a hot pink background. It really pops off
the Impala’s white paint. Snookums’ is purple and in gold
writing it says PIMPIN’. It looks so ridiculous on the
back of the truck, but it’s ridiculous in a cute sort of
way! I wonder how long it’ll take him to notice it? Or the
one on the car for that matter!

I’m writing now for today, also, because tonight I pick
Snookums up from the airport right around the time I would
normally be writing. Snookums has eluded to the fact that
he’s incredibly horny (why, I don’t know, it’s only been a
week), so I’m fairly sure I won’t be writing when I get
home. Besides, by the time I get home, it’ll probably be
early Saturday morning. Traffic in Seattle is going to be
a bitch on a Friday night. Thank goodness it isn’t payday,
too. Navy guys are pro’s at drinking away a paycheck. So,
that’s what I’ll be doing tonight. In about half an hour
I’m leaving to go get the girls’, then I’ll bring them
home and do our normal evening routine. I’m not even
telling them Daddy’s coming home tonight, or they’ll never
go to bed. I’ll be a surprise in the morning! Gen (and
maybe Sam, I’m not sure) are coming over to keep an ear
out for them, so I don’t have to drag them in and out of
the car all hours of the night. That’s such a major help.

I’m all ready to go. I’ve put on the requested clothing
Snookums has asked for (I’ll have to remove the panties
before I leave the house) and I took 2 hours to do my hair
today. Washed, dried, straightened and curled. Isn’t it
funny that I straighten my hair, then turn around and curl
it? Well, it’s a different kind of curl, but I just
thought that was funny. I think I’ll go have a snack. My
tummy is grumbling. Ciao!
