My Life Thus Far

Anywhere, St. Elsewhere

*****

That is the name of my "happy place". It's a small village
(named Anywhere)on an island (called St. Elsewhere)in the
middle of the Pacific. It isn't deserted, but comfortably
isolated. Because, at times I do want some human
interaction. A happy place is important to have. Up until
today I had none, which left me nowhere to retreat when
things got too rough. So now. I have Anywhere, St.
Elsewhere (thank you Gnarls Barkely).

I've also decided to adopt a mood rating system. Everyday
(or everyday I remember), I'll rate how my day has gone
with stars (well, asterisks). That way, you'll have an
idea of whether or not you want to read that entry. I know
some people would rather not hear my bitch about my
horrible life, when it's so much better than their's. I'll
give them that, but I bet at some point, my life WAS a
hell of a lot worse than a lot of people's. Just remember
that! So, anyway. The rating system is the more stars the
better.

This would be:

* BAD, but I'm still alive.

This would be:

***** GOOD, it doesn't get much better.

If you don't see any stars, it just means I forgot. One
star is as bad as it can get. Now the only hitch is
remembering to keep up with it. We'll see how this goes.

You can tell I had a good day. I'm implementing changes.
Not something customary for me to do on down days. I'd say
it's a high, but I haven't done anything crazy like
reshingle the roof or rotate my tires. So, I'll settle for
it's just a good day.

I've reinstated my power workouts (1000 calorie cardio
binges), but I'll still be doing the strength training as
well. So, between Oprah and kicking my own ass at the gym,
I should get somewhere. This means I'll be spending a
grand total of three hours at the gym per day, but I've
got the time, so why not? It'll keep me out of the mall as
much! I did my first power workout today and I feel GREAT!
I loved it. I sweated so much, I looked like a contestant
in a wet t-shirt contest! I felt really good about myself
when I came out and if I slip and eat something I
shouldn't, who cares? I just burned 1000 calories!

I got to talk with Amanda today at the gym. She's on the
ship with Snookums, so I don't get to see much of her.
We'll probably do something this weekend, although I'm not
sure what. She's a petite little 125 pound girl, but she
loves to eat and that just isn't a hobby of mine. Maybe
we'll see a movie or something. That's non-caloric.

Well, I've got homework to do. I've decided to dive head
first into my Buddhism studies. I haven't been putting
enough effort into it, so I'm going to now. Ciao!
