My Life Thus Far

I Love Geico, But I Hate My Small Rental Car

I just got back from taking the Impala in for
it's "adjustment". I have to admit, Geico made it really
easy. I was going to take the Impala to Phil (the guy that
fixed the bumper for me) but Geico has this thing called
Express Repair where they do EVERYTHING for me. I went to
see the claims adjuster. He took a few pictures, called
Enterprise and I was on my way within an hour. All I have
to do is pay my $500 deductible and the repairs, rental
car and everything is covered. I need things to be as
painless as possible. I want this month to end and finally
be behind me. Doesn't it seem like May has been a bad
month for me? Maybe June will be better.

I got my new Geico policy in the mail last week, and it
hadn't even gone up a penny! My policy was renewed on the
16th and I filed the claim on the 12th, so maybe it was
too soon and I'll see the increase on my next policy. I
don't know, but I'm just happy to be getting my car fixed,
although I was a little sad to see it being pulled behind
that menacing barbed wire fence at the autobody shop. I'm
just keeping in mind that my car will be as close to
perfection as it can be, in about a week :)

I do need to take a moment to complain. If you don't want
to hear it, leave now...Okay, here goes:

I HATE MY RENTAL CAR!!! It's a red Chevy Cobalt. It looks
really cute on the outside. A little on the compact side,
but kind of sporty looking, red (I like red, it's my
second favorite color, behind pink), and not damaged. But,
upon opening the door, it was quite another story. The
windows are small, the seats are small, the steering wheel
is small, EVERYTHING is small. I feel claustrophobic in
it, it's so small. But, being small isn't it's biggest
problem. It's also dirty (the interior is covered in hair,
crumbs and dust) and it smells like wet dog. I wanted to
gag just getting in. I'm going to have to clean it if I'm
suppose to drive it for the next week. I already febrezed
it heavily. That should help. I'm glad I don't own it. If
I ever complain about how big the Impala is again, just
slap me.

Well, I must be going. I came home, because I had so much
time before I had to drop off Annie's cupcakes, but not
enough time at the gym, so I'm going to pitter-patter
around the house for the next hour and a half, then I'll
go. I'm REALLY looking forward to some gym-time. I'll
probably write again tonight :) Ciao!
