My Life Thus Far
Birthday Shopping and Scheduled Maintenance
I'm sleepy. I can't believe it's already 10:35pm. Last
time I looked at the clock it was 8pm and I was baking
Annie's birthday cake. I still need to wrap her presents
before I can go to bed.
This morning, I had a hard time getting motivated to get
up and dressed and out the door, but eventually I did. I
took Kiki with me, since I needed to shop for Annie's
presents (Kiki can't spill the beans, yet) and Snookums
had the baby all day yesterday. Leaving him alone with
both girls is like setting him up for failure. I don't
know why he isn't able to multi-task and take care of both
of their needs, like I do day-in and day-out.
The abridged version of my day was this:
*Shopping for Annie's birthday presents
*Oil change for the car (scheduled maintenance is very
important to me)
*Commissary for birthday cake ingredients and decorations
I didn't go overboard with the presents like I have in the
past. I've noticed lately that Annie isn't appreciating
the things she has. Last week I told her that if she
didn't have her room clean in the morning, that I'd throw
away everthing left on the floor. Well, I've done that
three times and she's yet to miss a thing. Maybe she's
tricking me and found a creative way for ME to clean her
room. Or, she's just got too much stuff. I'm betting it's
the latter. So, this year she's getting:
*A Bratz doll
*A Barbie razor scooter
*A new backpack
*A Barbie watch
*New earrings
*And last but (for her) not least, Willy Wonka chocolate
donutz. It's some kind of new candy that she's in love
with (for the moment). I don't think it's too much (or too
little). Her Grandmothers have sent her packages, too. So
she's definitely in no need for presents.
Well, I'd better stop procrastinating and get on with the
wrapping. Ciao!
