My Life Thus Far
PMSing Hard-Core
I wish I had something more interesting to write about
than how work went, but on the days that I work, there
really isn't time for much else. I love my job, though.
So, it's all good.
Today, when I got off from work there was a message on my
cellphone from Kiki's daycare and almost the moment I hit
dial, Snookie called me saying that there was a message on
the answering machine from them, too. Why would Kiki be in
daycare if I were sitting at home? But, anyway. I digress.
Once again, Kiki was being sent home with a fever. Which
means, she can't go back to daycare until Monday, because
of their "24 hours with no fever before readmittance"
policy. It's a bunch of bullshit. This is the 3rd time
this month. Snookie pulled some strings with his Chief and
was able to get tomorrow off. But, he's not pleased with
him and what am I suppose to do when Snookums goes out to
sea? I've got to find a back-up plan. I can't be missing
work like that. I'm in the middle of my probationary
period and if I miss a day of work per week, because of
the daycare beauracracy I'll be let go of, for sure. I'll
be working on a plan B, that's for sure.
Now, for you (Ms. Self-Righteous Bitch), let me just make
it know that I DO NOT put my job before my child. I love
my child (both of them, actually) more than my job and her
health is first and foremost on my list of priorities. IT
IS NOT WRONG FOR ME TO WANT TO KEEP MY JOB, THOUGH. SO
DON'T EVEN BOTHER COMMENTING. I just had to let that be
known. This entry has hate-mail potential written all over
it.
Well, I'm PMSing hard-core (crying sounds like a good
idea) and I'm a little on the stressed side (because of
the daycare issues), so I'm going to Dairy Queen to get
something insanely bad for me. I don't even feel guilty
about it. Ciao.
