My Life Thus Far
A Nothing Day
Today was a nothing day. I thought about nothing, I felt
like doing nothing, I did nothing and I'll continue to do
nothing until I finally fall asleep. What a waste of life.
But since, most of my days are filled with activity, I
guess one day of nothing isn't going to kill me.
For the most part I didn't leave my bedroom. I did get
dressed and I started laundry. I started cleaning the
house. I started a lot of things, but did I finish
anything? No. Nothing. So, it was a nothing day. Literally.
Kiki's rash is so bad now, her entire body is covered in
red blotches. I'm not sure if she's itchy or not, because
she isn't trying to scratch, but I'm not sure if that's
because she doesn't know how to scratch or if she isn't
itchy and doesn't need to scratch. Babies can be so
complicated, at times. All I know is that she's had a
rough time getting to sleep. Last night she woke up off
and on until 11pm, until she finally passed out and
tonight she cried for 30 minutes before she finally fell
asleep. That may not seem like anything to other parents,
but Kiki is a marathon sleeper. She goes down at 7pm with
no drama and sleeps through the night. I'm not used to her
having difficulties in that department. I'm really not
sure I think these immunizations are such a great idea. I
know they're required, but I'll definitely be talking
about them with her doctor. Maybe there's another option
that she won't have such adverse side effects from.
Poor Annie was kind of on her own today. With Kiki being
so emotionally sensitive about everything, it seemed like
Annie wasn't getting paid the attention she's used to. Not
that she demands much attention, but I still felt Kiki got
more and I try to be equal. I don't want Annie to think
Kiki is the center of attention and she's not. But, when
you're out-numbered, I guess that's a risk every mother of
more than one child faces.
Snookums went out to get my Mother's Day present today
(talk about last minute). Then, he couldn't even wait
until tomorrow to give it to me. He got me a really sweet
card and a new Coach bag. It's black with aqua blue
accents and looks exactly like the one he bought me in
March, only it isn't colorfully monogrammed. But, I still
like it. At least I won't have to worry about it getting
dirty. Also, now that I have another Coach, it gives me a
chance to get my white one cleaned (I wasn't willing to
carry an inferior brand for even a few days). It isn't
bad, because I spot clean it with a Tide to go pen
whenever I see a mark, but it still needs to be freshened
up and only a professional can do that. I also need to
have a pair of Baby Phat jeans tailored (designer jeans
are all made for 5'10" girls), so I'll probably get that
stuff done on Monday.
Well, I'd better get back to doing nothing. Ciao for now.
