This Thing Called Normal

I made up today for all the physical exertion I put forth
yesterday. I woke up seriously sore and not really in the
mood to move. So, I didn't. Annie is very self-sufficient
and loves helping with Kiki and of course, Snookums bows
to my every whim, so I was able to do pretty much nothing
all day. I think I slept for 14 hours today, seriously.
Snookums even asked me if I was pregnant. Lets hope not.

The one thing we did do as a family today, was our Pike
Place seafood/produce feast. Snookums and I fired up our
little patio grill and put on the Alaskan Black Cod
(otherwise known as Sablefish) steaks and the Alaskan
Spotted Prawns. The cod we just grilled with a little
olive oil, salt and pepper. The prawns we marinated in a
tequila lime sauce, skewered, then grilled. The seafood
turned out fabulous! To accompany it we had sauteed onions
and shitake mushrooms, baby asparagus (blanched), steamed
sweet potato (actually, they were yams. The orange kind)
and a big baguette of crusty french bread, toasted with
garlic butter and parsely. It was so good, all of it. I'm
trying so hard not to revert back into compulsive
overeating and on the other hand I'm trying to enjoy food
(because my husband does, very much and eating is
something he loves to do). It's a struggle everyday, but
I'm working to achieve this thing called "normal".

Well, according to Snookie I've got a "gynecological"
appointment in the bedroom right now. Which I'm guessing
means he wants sex, so I'd better sign off for now. Ciao!
