An Entirely Delightful Expedition

Today, the Allen family embarked upon a completely
spontaneous, utterly unplanned and what ended up being an
entirely delightful expedition! Snookums woke me up around
8am, this morning, with his wonderfully light kisses and
softly spoken words. He asked me if I wanted to do
anything today and gave me a list of options to choose
from (obviously, he'd given this much thought). I chose
another trip to Seattle. Only, this time we'd gear it more
towards the family, instead of adults-only.

So, after much disheveled preparation, we managed to leave
the house around noon. We went to lunch at Subway and had
Cold Stone ice cream while we waited on the ferry. Once on
the ferry, we just sat back and enjoyed ourselves. I ran
into one of the hygienists I work with and we chatted for
a moment, but other than that, we were just focused on the
family.

I'll give you the quick version of our day: we went to the
Seattle Aquarium (there's a few dark/blurry pictures in my
album. www.t-mobilepictures.com/SnookiesAngels, that's
only if you wanted to see them, which I don't expect
anyone will, since I just said they're dark/blurry. But,
they're there should anyone wish to look.

After the Aquarium we went to Pike Place Market to do my
produce shopping and to browse around. Snookie ended up
getting me two necklaces. One is a handmade flower
necklace made from woven hemp and pukka shells (it is so
detailed and pretty), the other is a simple jade circle
hanging from a black cord, but I'm thinking of taking it
off the cord and putting it on my favorite gold rope
chain. It's the jade circle I was drawn to. It's mottled
light and dark greens and it's just mesmerizing. I love
it. I love them both. Then, we got some fruits/vegetables
and some world famous Seattle seafood from the fish-
throwers (two black cod steaks and a pound of Alaskan
spotted prawns). Snookie also bought me flowers (a tulip
bouquet) and Annie a sparkly bean bag frog. It was such a
fun day :)

We had dinner at The Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar, which
is much more kid-friendly and laid back than the place
Snookie and I ate at last time. I had seared halibut,
which was delish, Snookie had the fisherman's platter and
Annie had a little personal pan pizza. Overall, I'd have
to say today was an incredibly fun family day. Both girls
had a great time. Annie got to see some interesting sights
and Kiki saw the world, dangling from her front carrier
(yes, I carried her on my chest ALL day). It was just a
great day :)

I'm really tired now and for some reason Snookums has
started cleaning the house (at 10:40pm). I'd better stop
him and get to bed, before I find myself doing laundry and
dusting at midnight. No fucking way. Ciao :)
