My Life Thus Far

Sex Took The Kinks Out

What a long day. I can honestly say, my life is WAY more
interesting than it was just a few months ago. I actually
have places to go, people to see and a reason (other than
my children)to get up every morning :) Not that my
children aren't enough reason to get up in the morning,
but it's sure nice having a life of my own, instead of
living vicariously through my girls.

Work FLEW by incredibly fast. I don't understand why, but
now that I'm actually, officially an employee, the 8 hours
I work seem to go by faster than the 5 hours of extern I
use to do every day. I'm not constantly looking for things
to do, I have duties that I need to accomplish and that
helps keep me busy. Not to mention the fast pace nature of
the practice. Today, we had an emergency come in that
turned the place upside down. A little 2 year old boy fell
out of a shopping cart onto the cement and broke both
upper anteriors and had to have them extracted. His
screams (from the anesthetic needle) put everyone on edge
and made getting through the rest of the day hard, since
it took a couple of hours to finish everything he needed
to have done. It was crazy.

After I got off from work, I went out for a late lunch
with Miranda (another of the assistants) and we had a nice
chat about our lives, pasts and what we're trying to
accomplish in our careers. Both of us are fairly new here,
so we can be of support to each other. It was nice going
out with her, but I'm not entirely sure if I want to be
her "friend". Workplace friendships are a lot like
workplace dating. You just shouldn't do it and if you do,
be careful. But, that's just my thought.

When I got home, Snookums and I had a little one-on-one
time (if you know what I mean :) HINT:HINT). I'm not sure
why, but I just really needed to have some good, hard sex.
It felt so good. Kind of like a deep massage when you're
muscles are tense, only for me it was more of a mental
tension than a physical one. Sex took the kinks out and I
feel way better now :)

I called Shannell this afternoon and we arranged to get
together for dinner tonight, which we did, both families.
Her, Jay, Malakai, Me, Snookie, Annie and Kiki. We went to
the Olive Garden and had a great time. We talked, enjoyed
good food and had a few laughs. It was great :)

As you can tell by my smiley-face filled entry, I had a
good day. I'm sleepy, I'm SO glad it's Friday and I've got
the whole weekend and Monday to recoup before I go back to
work on Tuesday, but I'm a good tired. Not an overworked,
underpaid, disgruntled tired. I'm really pleased with the
way things are going. I just couldn't be happier if I
tried :) Ciao.
